FIRST INVESTIGATION
INVESTIGATION I
Good Morning. Did you sleep well? It certainly feels like you have, perhaps too well, even for those who don't normally sleep. Maybe that's to be expected in this fairy tale, maybe it was only a matter of time.
Regardless, rise and get ready for your day, and keep your eyes to the sky. For who knows if someone fell to temptation?
no subject
First, the neck. Is there just signs of strangulation, or anything more?]
no subject
Anyways, it pretty much is just the ligature mark that goes around the front and side of her neck, which look to be about an inch wide. The scratches mentioned earlier are also quite light and there are some above and below the ligature mark.]
no subject
[He knows what that means-that scratches, anyway. He'll have to find out the weapon later.
So, the gut wound. Stab wound? Or is clothing covering a notable bruise?]
no subject
no subject
Something to figure out late. Now, if there are no other wounds, he'll be checking her hands. Skin under the fingernails? Any chance there's a signed note from the murderer?]
no subject
No signed note from the murderer though, unfortunately! We can't always get what we want.]
no subject
Are there any other notable things about the body itself? Something about her shoes? The rest of her clothes? Or can he focus on the cloth?]
no subject
He can move onto the cloth if he wants!]
no subject
1. Is it notably wrinkled anywhere? It's probably wrinkled in general due to being tied around a dead body that was left on a roof, but are there any sections that seem especially so?
2. Does it look like it could've come from the boutique? Admittedly, he hasn't been there much, but is there really anywhere else the cloth could've come from?]
no subject
As for the other questions:
1. It's not notably wrinkled anywhere outside of the whole 'being used to wrap a body' thing, but he might notice that on one end of the cloth, the ends are very much tattered although it seems like this is more because of age and wear rather than, say, being cut with scissors and left to fray or anything.
2. Well, not so much the boutique; it's a little thick and heavy for that, actually. If anything, the texture and make sort of resembles the stage curtains from the ballroom, but those ones would've been black.]
no subject
[Wrapping a corpse in curtains-probably not uncommon, but still questionable, considering the curtains he's most immediately familiar with being black. If he thinks about it, can he remember where any red curtains were located?
Additionally, something else
the playerthe parrot realized-the bruises on her neck. Are they all around the neck, or just around the front, near the important parts like the windpipe, veins and arteries and stuff?]no subject
The bruises are only to the front and the side! So not all the way around, just over the important parts, yup.]
no subject
It probably shouldn't be a surprise, but he can't help but question it for moment. Perhaps this wasn't exactly death by strangulation...
Later, later. Now, back to the curtain. It's thick and heavy-he'll roll up a free portion of it.
How much is needed for the width to become 1 inch, enough to match the ligature marks?]

he would probably be able to tell based on the shape of the marks left behind (e.g. whether it was a smooth line, scratchy material etc. etc. ]

do the scratch marks near the ligature mark match sami's fingers/nails (aka were they inflicted in self defense or trying to struggle free) or did the killer leave them behind? ]
no subject
no subject
if he puts his fingers up to sami's neck, would the scratch marks be bigger or smaller than like, average male fingernail size? he'll call koto over later to check for a size comparison for her fingernails scratch marks too, just to establish a comparison between whether it was a male/female/child/adult killer ]

he'll move onto the rope around sami's body itself, actually, while pericles is looking at the cloth! since they don't match the ligature marks...
does the rope look immediately identifiable? did it come from the workshop, one of the furniture shops, maybe even the curtains in the lodgings/mansions?? spitballing.
also, can he take the rope with him. ]

... IF THERE'S SOMEONE GOING TO JUMPSCARE HIM AT THE GUTTER--
ahem, he's definitely going to follow the trailing end towards the roof's gutter. also for completionist's sake, what's the approximate distance/length of the rope between the body and the gutter....... and does the rope cross over the hole in the roof I'M GOING TO HAVE TO DRAW THIS PLACEMENT OUT AT SOME POINT AREN'T I
what's he going to find when he approaches the roof gutter ]
