FINAL TRIAL
Final Trial
This Friday morning you've investigated as has become commonplace, even if the circumstances have shifted. And now it's time to take stock of what you've found, what options you have, what options you don't, in the lull of action you have left.
The abyss in the fountain beckons, but doesn't demand quite yet. Who knows when that will change, though.
[OOC NOTE: You'll have the first hour of trial to discuss what you found in final investigation yesterday, and then we'll get this show on the road! ]

Maybe it's like I thought, then. Maybe we do have the ability to write the ending to his story.
We have ink, don't we?

The most we can do is ask the Piper on how we would go about doing that. Unless you have some idea?

[And that is precisely why he has not acted on any of them yet.]

I agree. Writing in some insurance wouldn't hurt though, would it?

[A small sigh. Fucking hell. She hates having morals.]
Fate is binding either way. I'm not sure if we have the option of releasing the hold of the story entirely, at least not with the Bedlam still here.

Is that the future you would stand for?

[ Just going to write something down on a separate piece of paper he brought with him... let's get some potential drafts going. ]
...It would be over, and he would be freed. Once the remaining prey were gathered together at the core, his obligation would be fulfilled, and he would be able to join those he once led astray — both living and dead — in bringing down his former so-called "benefactor", and in doing so, breaking the chains of fate.
After we... accidentally spill ink on that last "no rest" line before this.

[ Huaisang will never forgive him for that. And he is not going to pretend that he doesn't have the best ending in mind for him. But he also wants to ensure that they all get out of here.
That's the reason he struggles. ]
But to something like this...like what you have here, I think I can agree to it.
[ It will be to their best interests, he thinks. ]
