FINAL TRIAL
Final Trial
This Friday morning you've investigated as has become commonplace, even if the circumstances have shifted. And now it's time to take stock of what you've found, what options you have, what options you don't, in the lull of action you have left.
The abyss in the fountain beckons, but doesn't demand quite yet. Who knows when that will change, though.
[OOC NOTE: You'll have the first hour of trial to discuss what you found in final investigation yesterday, and then we'll get this show on the road! ]

I agree. Writing in some insurance wouldn't hurt though, would it?

So your answer to experiencing a bit of deceit is to justify mind control and slavery?
You're so weak without crippling those not as privileged as you that you don't believe you can stand up against a mere liar?

Have you forgotten SQ? Have you forgotten that those votes went to me, and he chose to flip the abstained votes to her? He told me himself - he spared me because he found me interesting.
This man has been responsible for each and every decision he has made here. Each week he has ridiculed the deceased and forced us to continue playing a part in this game. He had no control over his story, perhaps, but that does not excuse his actions.
I refuse to agree to giving him his freedom under these circumstances. He chose to kill Raven and SQ and had the gall to act as though it was acceptable because he's being controlled by someone else.
Let's not be hasty in forgetting or forgiving his impact on our time here, ja?

And if you don't want to free him, kill him instead.
But to stand here and pretend enslaving him all over again with power not your own is the morally superior route to take? That is laughable.
no subject
So yes, I suggest we kill him and be done with it.
no subject
There, that wasn't so hard.
[ For as much as he personally does not want Hamelin to die, he's not going to stand here and plead for him on that front. As long as his actions aren't going to be controlled yet again.. ]

I don't think your situation is quite the same as Hamelin's. We're discussing Hamelin and his actions against us right now, not what you deserve for what you've done in your own world.

I'd say that part is pretty relevant.
[It was a terrible decision, he admits to that much now! But in the moment, it sure seemed like a great idea.]
And no, I don't think he deserves forgiveness for what he did either.

I understand where you're coming from. But the things we've done are quite different from what Hamelin has done to us here. We'll have to live with the actions and decisions we've made - but we're expected to let him go after everything he's done? Not just to us, the lucky survivors, but to all of those who died here?
Our situations aren't comparable just because we happen to have been working for someone else against our free will.

That's...
Let's not argue this for now. If we manage to free him from the Beldam now, we can address what we wish to do with him later. It's not letting him off the hook for everything to allow him to temporarily cooperate with us until then, which I believe he likely will.

[ A scoff. ]
You don't know anything about me or what I've dealt with. No offense, but it's a little late for judgment or calling people weak, especially coming from a spectator.
But no, my answer is to deal with him and this game to give us all the best chance of getting out in one piece if possible. Plenty of people here just want Hamelin dead, and I'm not going to ask them to fight alongside him on faith alone.
sorry, surprise 2/2

suicidal ideation cw
That is all I'm saying.
no subject
Besides, if he'd choose to fight with us anyway, what does it matter if we write it that way or not? You think he'd rather die than be forced into one last fight?
Sorry, but I think that's a stupid choice. I'd let him make it, but I wouldn't like it.
