Some days are long and some days are short. If this wasn't the third week of your stay, perhaps you might think that exhaustion had crept in from Wednesday's nights activities. But you know better than that by now.

Consciousness comes to you groggily, perhaps uncomfortably depending where you were when sleep suddenly took hold of you. While the world stands on the verge of awakening as the horizon blazes with a fiery glow, the sky remains a navy blue where you are.

The time is 5:00 AM. You could return to your slumber, but do you really think third time's the charm?

[Suga passed the body investigation onto Pericles without asking, the least he can do is check the surrounding area near the fountain.

Anything obviously out of place? Signs of a struggle?]

[Well, before Suga leaves the body itself, there's something he might've noticed that was a little weird on the inner rim of the fountain closest to where the body was. There seems to be a bit of pink powdery residue there, above the water where it's still dry.]

[Huh. He puts his finger in the residue and sniffs it - what's this smell like?]

[One question before you sniff it, Suga: are your hands wet from handling Yor or no?]

[I can think of no way his hands wouldn't have gotten wet in that, and they probably haven't dried yet, so yes.]

[faentasy]

[Okay! So Suga will notice that the moment he touches the pinkish powder, it'll dissolve and leave a bit of stickiness on his fingers.]

[Huh, okay. New plan: he scrapes some onto his (dry) shirt. Okay, now what does it smell like.]

[Suga snorting that stuff up like co-- okay no uh

It doesn't smell like anything.]

[...well Suga is a fucking moron and also running on autopilot because if he engages his brain too long he'll start crying again, so he decides that the next best idea is to lick his finger.]

[The parrot is here and, SHOCKER: He does not like this. But someone has to look over a body, and he needs some sort of redemption for Gin.

So, first immediate thing: positioning of the body. Is it completely in the fountain? Just partially? Does it look like it's touching the bottom? That sort of thing. Could be important.]

[The body is completely in the fountain, yes! The fountain is quite shallow so it definitely seems like her arms and legs are touching the bottom, with the top half of her torso floating a little assuming Suga left her in the same position she was found in. The cloth continues to drift around her body, covering up most of her outside of her arms and everything above her neck.]

[He did leave her the way he found her! Have a little faith in him...]

[One more thing for the about positioning: How close to the center is the body? Closer to the rim? Very near the center? He's trying to figure out whether or not Yor was in the fountain of her own volition, or if this looks like she was placed there. Or is there no way to tell that?]

[There's a central fixture that protrudes high out the fountain with a fancy carved fairy statue on top. As it is she is kind of filling the space between the rim and the center because while the fountain is large enough to hold her body, it's not so wide that she could drift much without hitting the central part or the rim, if that makes sense.]

[Understood!

Okay, now the actual body itself. Are any injuries immediately noticeable? Or does this look like Yor is doing the dead man's float until you realize she's actually dead?]

[He's probably going to have to pull her out to see most of it, but he can probably notice that she has some cuts and gashes on her arms.]

[...I don't know how to tell you this, but...even the parrot has limits on what he can lift...]

Herr Suga, are you capable of assisting me? I...need to remove Frau Forger from ze fountain.

[Takes a break from Stilettoquest to carefully lift Yor up out of the fountain and set her on the ground. His arm is still injured but he bites his tongue and gets through it.]

Sank you, my friend.

[Now that that is done, he'll look at her more closely. Are the cuts sporadic and random, like they occurred during a battle? Or do they seem more orderly, like someone was purposefully giving these injuries to Yor?]

[So, almost immediately after you guys removed Yor's body from the fountain, someone seems to have changed clock to nighttime and made the pumpkin appear right where Yor was. Try not to get squashed or anything!]

[welp he's partially under a pumpkin now. this is fine.]
