Some days are long and some days are short. If this wasn't the third week of your stay, perhaps you might think that exhaustion had crept in from Wednesday's nights activities. But you know better than that by now.

Consciousness comes to you groggily, perhaps uncomfortably depending where you were when sleep suddenly took hold of you. While the world stands on the verge of awakening as the horizon blazes with a fiery glow, the sky remains a navy blue where you are.

The time is 5:00 AM. You could return to your slumber, but do you really think third time's the charm?

[Takes a break from Stilettoquest to carefully lift Yor up out of the fountain and set her on the ground. His arm is still injured but he bites his tongue and gets through it.]

[Now that that is done, he'll look at her more closely. Are the cuts sporadic and random, like they occurred during a battle? Or do they seem more orderly, like someone was purposefully giving these injuries to Yor?]

[The cuts seem pretty random, yes. The majority of them are concentrated on the front of her body; more accurately, her forearms although as noted by the wound diagram, there's a couple on her legs and her face as well. Some of the cuts are deeper and messier than others while others are shallow. As nasty as they look though, none of them seem fatal.]

Alright, before this parrot turns over a corpse on his own, the clothes. I believe they were of note? Do these white robes/pieces of cloth/whatever they are look familiar at all? Or is this something entirely new?]

[Well, it's less like an actual article of clothing and more like a white sheet that's been wrapped around and on top of her normal clothes, actually.

Notable also is that Yor's normal clothes are cut and torn through where her arms are, although there's no tears on the white sheet at all, even where it covers the wounds on her legs.]

[That's...odd. Why would they wrap her up after killing her? Was there some form of respect going on? Or did they just want to hide the injuries?

Questions that will be answered at the trial. There are still things to be figured out here and now.

So, very carefully turning her over, it's time to get to the main event: injuries. What is there on the front? Just more small injuries, like this was a death by a thousand cuts situation? Or is there a more prominent one to note?

Oh, and he will be removing the sheet if he needs to. Probably also taking note of how much blood has stained it, if any.]

[He'll have to remove the sheet to view the wounds on her legs and the top of her shoulders, yep. The injuries to her front are limited to the small cuts on her shoulders and the one on her cheek, which are honestly pretty superficial. The red discoloration from livor mortis is all over her front side as well.

With regards to the blood staining the sheet, there's a large stain over her stomach area and quite a bit of blood where the leg gashes meet the cloth as well. There's smaller areas that just seem to have gotten stained just by being in the vicinity of the wounds, so that's probably not surprising either.]

[A lot of close calls, apparently. Upsetting it didn't go down the way she wanted, but at least she didn't go down easy.

Removing more of the sheet, he'll look over these stomach and leg wounds. Assuming there's a stab wound to the stomach? And is there any chance the gashes on her legs hit the femoral artery, and that's why there's so much blood there?]

[There's no stomach wound, actually! It's just that the sheet was bloodied around her stomach area. The leg wounds are nasty, but none of them went deep enough to hit the femoral artery. There's just a lot of blood because a couple of the gashes are wide and pretty long.]

Vhat?

[That is...raising more red flags.

New question: Looking all over Yor, are there any significant wounds that would cause her death? Are there more severe cuts on her arms-perhaps ones hitting the veins in her forearms-that could've caused her to bleed out quicker? Or is it all smaller injuries that would usually do nothing on their own?]

[No wounds that seem like they would've severed any vital arteries or anything, nope. Maybe it would be possible to bleed out from all the wounds she has but it would take quite a while! But while he's looking over Yor, there's definitely something notable about her face--namely, there's quite a bit of pale pinkish froth coming out of her nose and mouth.]

[Sorry for the suddenly yelling birb, but he is now somehow more pissed at the killer than he was previously!

Just. He's just gonna smell that. The froth is sweet smelling, isn't it?]

[Nah, it uh. It just smells gross honestly. Like body stuff that comes out of a body.]

[So, almost immediately after you guys removed Yor's body from the fountain, someone seems to have changed clock to nighttime and made the pumpkin appear right where Yor was. Try not to get squashed or anything!]

[welp he's partially under a pumpkin now. this is fine.]

[Well, if he's kind of there already, hopefully it's only his legs or something because it's a pretty big pumpkin. Like, 'could probably squish and kill you if your whole body was under it'. But since he's that close he might even notice there's something of a handle on the side of it?]

[IT'S FINE... IT'S JUST SQUISHING HIS ALREADY INJURED LEG...

Uh. He guesses he'll reach up and try to open that handle now?]

[Hey, it's a door! It's a pretty big one at that (for a pumpkin, anyways); if he swings it open, he'll find it's big enough for a person to go inside this stupidly oversized pumpkin.]

[Okay, give him a minute to shimmy out from underneath this pumpkin, and once he gets himself free he'll limp his way inside. What's there to see in here?]

[faentasy]

[The inside of the pumpkin just seems to have a space inside it, carved relatively simply to have one simple bench on one side, kind of like a dollar store version of a pumpkin carriage. More importantly though, there's a bit more of that pinkish powder in the corners, sticking a bit to the inner walls of the pumpkin.]
