I assume we're widely in agreement that we're not going to do this, yes? We were given the suggestion to make this a challenge — how should we do that?

We should take this chance to figure out what she can and cannot do. In addition, we need a clue on how to save the dead. Shall we ask for one of them to be brought back right now?

The offer as is would be appealing, but I am deeply suspicious. Everything we know about her relies on the idea that she lures people in using things that they want and doesn't let them go. I don't think she's actually desperate enough to give up this much this easily without a fight.

Yeah. There's no way she's letting us go that easily. It feels more like a test than anything.

We don't accept without proof of whatever it is she's claiming we should do. That seems an acceptable start.

Even if she can prove it, we should likely have an...outside consultation before anything else happens.

I'll play it by ear, then. We challenge her, and if she starts working on her end of our requests, then I'll summon Hamelin and we fight.

That's just what I think, at least.

If we're confident enough that he'll be able to restore our usual abilities, maybe we could make that into an additional challenge if needed — some kind of match she has to win. Hopefully we'd be able to catch her off guard if she isn't expecting us at full power.

I also noticed that there's a door. I have no idea what it leads to but it's there, and she really does seem to be weakened too, judging by how the room looks with one of the stones.

We have no reason to trust her and certainly no reason to believe that she can do any of that when her power seems to already be limited.

She's so willing to offer us everything we could want... [and some things we really don't!!!!] It seems suspicious, ja? It looks like she's desperate for us to let her go.

She mentions bringing them back, but never realeasing them from her control. My thought is that they'd all have... button eyes, like Hamelin did, and be subservient to her will.

An excellent point. We have no reason to trust her, and if this allows her some control over us still, it seems likely she'd take it.

Of course we aren't. We need something we can win, or something that can make her waste some magic.

Hm. I don't think we have a good enough idea of what her full power is like to be able to estimate how much it would take to sufficiently drain her, but that's a possibility.

We could ask her to fulfill my wish, seeing as I earned it either way. It is not world-altering, but it would require her to bring a rather large machine from my world and perform considerable upgrades on technology she herself has no knowledge of.

I don't know how much magic that would drain though.

Nope. But I have no clue how to make it a challenge. Like what, we don't need her to grant our wishes?
