EXECUTION V
Execution V
The end of this weekend's trial brought many questions and little answers, but like clockwork the time for execution comes like normal. The tune this Sunday has a more cheerful energy than usual, much like the piece that heralded the start of investigation.
It might not do much to change the mood though, given the two men standing in the sealed off space, in the middle of all the mirrors. Raven is there of course, and the man with him is someone else who else who was a fixture of yesterday's trial, Yeager.

[The one who moved away, right?]
I'd like to, yes.
[He glances back at the mirror once more before finally getting up off the floor to take the chair. He's careful to place himself so he won't get distracted by the duo in the mirror.]

When we were kids
Shii-chan always wanted to do things like playfighting and sports
And I always wanted to pick flowers and things like that
I was kind of a wimpy kid
[Not much has changed there, honestly.]
But one day when I was about 6 I decided I was going to impress her
And climb a tree all by myself
Well
I did climb the tree
But then I couldn't get back down again
So I had to cry and cry until Shii-chan heard me and showed up
And she told me to jump into her arms and she'd catch me like a superhero
Fun fact: a 6-year-old girl probably should not be catching people jumping out of trees
no subject
My, she certainly sounds fearless! Did you jump?
no subject
Shii-chan did catch me
But then we both hit the ground anyway
We both got the scolding of our lives from her parents afterwards
But for about a week we were both too sore to do any playfighting
And we had to do the games I liked instead

[For both of them, really...]
Did she end up enjoying your games?
no subject
But then as soon as we were healed up she wanted to play fight again
I still don't know why anybody likes that
[He guesses it's sparring for kids??]
no subject
[It's definitely sparring for kids.]

Kid Yeager with a stick as big as he is
[Now if only it could change shape into a different stick it'd be perfect.]

It doesn't seem like all of that should fit in that briefcase??

[oh no suga i'm so sorry but also bear with me while i try to make this make sense!!]
You can see it there - it looks convincing, ja? But if look closely, you can see that all the parts are folded up.
[It definitely is a convincing fake, but up close you can definitely see that the parts have been folded up and in. There are places where it isn't an exact perfect match to a briefcase, where you can see seams and oddly-colored pieces that are clearly part of the bladed weapons.]
It's quite the clever design!
no subject
It must be hard to make it fold into so many different things though
no subject
[He spent so much gald on this goddamn weapon.]
no subject
I can understand having one melee and one ranged weapon
But the rest seems excessive?
[Suga does not understand the Extra.]
no subject
[oh god no]
I chose all of my weapons specifically for my style of combat - I like to control the battlefield and keep up the pressure; it forces my opponent into reacting rather than acting.
The sword is a rather typical weapon, useful at short ranges and one I'm proficient with, but ultimately it's just there in case I need to get close. I would consider the scythe and rifle my "main" weapons for melee and ranged. The scythe can be a bit difficult to use when you're too close though, ja? So the sword covers the scythe's weaknesses.
The rifle is built for power - those shots hurt! But it is slower to fire and can't fire continuously, so the crossbow can handle faster shots for when I need a ranged weapon for that.
The shield is rather self-explanatory, and the briefcase is because I thought it'd be funny.
[HE DID SO WELL UNTIL THAT LAST PART]

Sometimes you need to not be visibly carrying a weapon
But that makes sense
no subject
[so ultimately it's because he's Extra.]
no subject
I wonder if I could do something like that out of glowstone...
no subject
[All the forms of it and as it's transforming, he means.]
no subject
But maybe if I made the hinges out of something else
I'd really appreciate it
Thank you

[He'll come join Suga near the bed to pick up the weapon; it's very heavy so he'll hold onto it so it doesn't break poor Suga's arms, but he'll show off the briefcase form first! Take a look at this disaster and how it works. I don't know how it works so just pretend there's a description of it here.]
