FIFTH INVESTIGATION
INVESTIGATION V
After a party with many festivities and particularly eye catching attractions, many will have retired for the night before sleep takes them. It's a blessing even if this is routine by now, because after everything you've been through, dying from frostbite would be an anti-climatic way to go.
By the time you wake the sun is fully in the sky, it's light serving as your guide for the events that happened the night before.
The time is 8:00 AM.

There's nothing too special about her position in particular, but her limbs are just kind of splayed there, with her arms spread slightly to her sides but not in any kind of organized way or anything. The stab wound in the chest is definitely the most striking, but since McGillis also moved her body like that, he would also notice there's an equivalent wound in her back as well, even if her back is covered with a lot of drying and clotted blood.
There's also a large gash on her left arm. The rest of it just seems to be small nicks and cuts all over her body.]

ANYWAY, Morgan. It seems like she was stabbed straight through the chest then. Is there a difference between the wound at the front and the one at the back with regards to diameter, serratedness, anything? Generally are the wounds serrated or are they clean?
Also what organ was struck by the stab, if any? McGillis knows his anatomy decently enough that he can make an educated guess here. ]

All of the wounds definitely seem to be clean at the edges, which includes the one at her front and back. With regards to the front and back wounds, they seem pretty similar in diameter and in the cleanliness of the edges!
The wound certainly gives another meaning to having a hole in one's heart because it definitely seems to go right through hers.]

What is the diameter of the wound? We've got a few bladed weapons among us that could pierce someone clean through so an impression of size might help.
And then, the wound on her left forearm... How is it positioned? If McGillis raises his own left arm as if to protect himself, would the part that is slashed on Morgan's arm face to the front? ]
no subject
The wound on her left forearm would indeed be facing her front if it was raised!]

Let's look at the smaller injuries that are spread over her upper body and wings. I'm assuming there isn't really any pattern to them? ]

You are indeed correct that there is no pattern to all those random nicks and scratches on her upper body and upper wings! They're all clean, but very much superficial. Her bottom set of wings look like they're furled up like usual though, so it's harder to tell the extent of damage there, but there are a couple nicks there too.
While he's looking over her, McGillis might also notice that Morgan's right hand is no longer bandaged compared to before and in fact looking mostly healed up! Also she has no fingernails, because this is a thing apparently.]

And same question for her feet while we're here, how's the feet on this fine morning. ]
no subject
As for her feet, it's bare as usual but since he's looking closer (for once? I assume he doesn't have a feet fetish or something) he can notice that she has no toes. It's like eternal sockfeet here.]

Well. Cool.
Is there anything else that would stick out to him when giving the body a look over, or is he good here? ]

Poor Morgan... he'll close her eyes properly before he leaves. ]
