After a party with many festivities and particularly eye catching attractions, many will have retired for the night before sleep takes them. It's a blessing even if this is routine by now, because after everything you've been through, dying from frostbite would be an anti-climatic way to go.

By the time you wake the sun is fully in the sky, it's light serving as your guide for the events that happened the night before.

The time is 8:00 AM.

[ Nothing immediately off!

Looking closer while the bed judges Phil is a good idea. ]

[ All right. Let's start at the vanity since as far as I know that's the closest thing we've got to a desk... anything on top of it besides, well, a mirror? ]

[ There is a jar of empty bezoars on the vanity, and a notepad nearby. ]

[ It has a label on it saying what was in it, I assume, since it's empty?

Let's check out the notepad! Is it opened to a particular page? ]

[ Yes! All the stuff at the apothecary is labeled because we only want people purposefully murdering others. Probably.

Anyway! The notepad has a charcoal impression on it. The rest of the pages are empty, but it looks like a few pages have been torn out judging the by bindings. ]

[ Oh... Hm. Wasn't that something they looked at back during the very first meeting? That Pericles had found somewhere.

Besides that one, are there any pages with any imprints on them that he can see or feel? (If so, is there a pencil or something around?) ]

[ There is a pencil laying around, yes. Feeling the pages of the notebook does reveal two pages with distinct imprints, it looks like a lot was written here, it's not just a word or two. ]

[ Aha... He'll pull out those pages and shade over each one with the pencil. Is any of the text readable once he's done this to each of those pages? Or was this pencil's sacrifice in vain. ]

[ Phil is gonna be at it for a while (the pencil might have actually spent it's last breath revealing all these words), but the results of the first page are readable.

(That's not to say the second page isn't, but the pencil is probably pretty short by now.) ]

[ Oh...

Well, his room is like 10 feet away so he can go get his own writing implement to sacrifice its life too if needed. ]

[ After the second pencil's sacrifice, the contents of the second page are readable. ]

[ Ha... well, some parts of this sure hit home more than he'd like.

wtf kind of names are Shaggy and Scooby though

"Initiating his plan"... and given how that letter starts... hm.

...Anyway, he'll take those pages and the notepad itself with that charcoal impression to the trial.

Nothing else on the vanity? How about in the drawers? ]

[ Nothing else on the vanity. The drawers are...empty because Pericles is a parrot. ]

[ He could be hiding a secret birdseed stash or a possum skull in there, you don't know.

On that note, though, he'll try looking at whatever's up high in the room where a bird might keep something out of a (non-McGillis) human's line of sight, and stand on the vanity chair to do so if needed. The canopy of the bed, tops of the lamps, any ceiling lights (Coolest Chandeliers). Anything new of note visible up here? ]

[ Honestly, fair.

Nothing is visible, and it doesn't even look dusty because Pericles was a good bird. ]

[ Worth a try. Going in the opposite direction, nothing under the bed or tucked under the mattress?

...Look, he's messing it up for a good cause, it's fine. ]

[ Wow???

Nothing under the bed or tucked under the mattress, no. While he's lifting the mattress though, two notes fall out of the pillowcase. ]

[ Oh. Picks those up... Are these the notes he just recreated? Did he just waste two whole pencils? ]

[faentasy]

[ Yes.

I can't believe dute day claimed the life of two pencils unnecessarily. But hey you have way cleaner versions now! ]

[ SIGHS.............

Okay, nothing else in here that looks like it could potentially be hiding anything? And nothing notable about either of the mirrors if he checks those, I'm assuming? ]

[faentasy]

[ Nope, you've checked everything in this room! The mirrors are as they've been this week which is to say fun reminders of home but nothing else off about them. ]

[ Hahahaaa YEAH THAT'S STILL FUN........ He's kind of trying not to look at Ix while he's doing this.
