Almost half of the non-fairy population of Aira Niluc is gone.

Some may be feeling the absence of their fellow participants in this story. Others will stay focused on the wish they want to get. What never changes is that the story goes on, bringing you closer to the end -- and to another chapter. What will it bring this time?

Snow!

Snow as far as the eye can see, a cold blanket covering the new area. Some winter amenities are now available, ready for perusal! But that's not all there's to find: everyone also will find reminders of their homes, of people they know, of happier times.

[ ...Pericles will hear the sound of hammer hitting the ice, and Koto will run back to his little hole. She made an attempt but that... Whatever it is almost seems to sneer at her attempts to smack it. Plan B. ]

[ She offers her arm but she won't be offended if he prefers flying. To the cabin! She might be screaming a little. ]

[The bird flinches-he flinches?-he flinches at the sound of ice cracking, and can only imagine what happened.

He doesn't object to leaving-even taking up the offered arm. But the question he gives-]

You saw it? The creature-the entity?

[He's afraid. He's afraid and he hates it-hates it so much-but he is afraid.]

I did, I did! It had glowing green eyes...

[ if she had to prove it was the same thing he saw. now she knows why he was afraid and can't blame him in the slightest. ]

I hate the Piper and that Entity thing now!

[Pericles lets out a sigh-not one of frustration for once, but one of exasperation.]

It is not supposed to be here-it shoult be under zat town-trapped in zat-zat-

[And then he seems to remember that he's in company-and he straightens up, his face becoming more calm as he looks at Koto.]

I...I can explain.

[kowashi]

[ Does he mind being pet? Very lightly at that on his wings, if it helps him regain his composure. She likes when he is his usual self, not at full panic mode... It might take years off his lifespan. ]

Sure thing! Can I guess "evil being trapped somewhere so it can't harm anyone. Anymore?"

[If he minds the petting, he doesn't say as much-too busy with his own thoughts to even notice it, possibly.]

Zat...zat is the short version of it, yes. Most anunnaki are benevolent, but zat one is...not, to put it simply.

Ant it has been locked away for a long, long time, ant has no way of escaping wisout help.

[And surely, no one in their right mind would want to help that thing escape.]

Anun...naki. They are not all bad.

[ She's going to keep doing the petting under the assumption it's working. Enough for Pericles to be informative. Kinda. They've probably reached the cabin by now. ]

So you think the Piper let it out...? It's scary... But it was flat on the ice.

[Maybe it is helping. Not like Koto would ever know, given the chances of the parrot actually admitting it being so low.]

If he dit? Zen it is possible Ze Piper has doomed an entire worlt for his game-possibly more.

But...if it vas just a reflection-showing somesing I...I dit not expect to see...zen it means nothing. Merely an attempt to frighten me.

You were pretty terrified, Pericles... It was almost contagious.

[ She isn't too annoyed though at him, it was pretty justified. ]

I guess flying over the lake, it's like a giant mirror...?

I dit not say it was an unsuccessful attempt.

[His reputation is down the toilet, all because of frozen water.]

Yes, I vill have to avoid mirrors and most reflective surfaces, at zis rate.

Yeah, try and be careful where you fly! Snow is kinda soft to crash in, at least.

[ Unfortunately snow is not inside where mirrors are. ]
