Almost half of the non-fairy population of Aira Niluc is gone.

Some may be feeling the absence of their fellow participants in this story. Others will stay focused on the wish they want to get. What never changes is that the story goes on, bringing you closer to the end -- and to another chapter. What will it bring this time?

Snow!

Snow as far as the eye can see, a cold blanket covering the new area. Some winter amenities are now available, ready for perusal! But that's not all there's to find: everyone also will find reminders of their homes, of people they know, of happier times.

[ Probably not seeing how he’s not moving. There’s the sound of snow crunching as Yuri makes her way over to him. When she’s next to him, she waits a beat for him to react, just in case he wants to compose himself first. If he doesn’t, she touches his shoulder gently. ]

Are you all right, Lord Makoto?

[ Makoto doesn't hear her until she's too close for him to hide the somber look on his face when he first turns his head in her direction. His cheek, slightly ruddy from the cold, presses into his knee when he shifts. ]

Oh, I'm fine Miss Elizabeth. But, did you see... [ He sits up, looking towards the thinner ice, but there's nothing there by now. ] Sorry, it's nothing.

[ Makoto shakes his head, clearing it before he looks back to her with his usual polite smile in place ]

Did you come out here to skate, too?

[sempiternel]

If you're sure...

[ She sounds doubtful.

She follows his gaze to the ice, but doesn't see anything... A blink - wait. No, just... a trick of the eye, perhaps? She shakes her head. ]

I've never done it actually. I was hoping to learn. The Elizabeth barony is rocky and dry, and before that I was a commoner, so things like skating...

[ It was a hobby for rich people, is what she's saying. ]

That's okay, where I'm from they have big indoor rinks where anyone can go if they want to skate.

[ Makoto maneuvers himself first to a crouch and then to his feet, skates sinking into the snow with the effort. ]

I'll be honest, I actually haven't been skating since I was a kid.

[ But, he gives her a reassuring smile anyway. How hard can it be if he could do it easily as a ten year old, right? ]

I can still help you with the basics though, if you want.

I would really appreciate it you truly don’t mind. Any tips at all would help!

[ Smiling back. Also curiously watching the way he balances on the skates. He seems pretty good at it already! ]

Given that we don’t know, um, what will happen, I’d like to enjoy this new area while I can.
