Almost half of the non-fairy population of Aira Niluc is gone.

Some may be feeling the absence of their fellow participants in this story. Others will stay focused on the wish they want to get. What never changes is that the story goes on, bringing you closer to the end -- and to another chapter. What will it bring this time?

Snow!

Snow as far as the eye can see, a cold blanket covering the new area. Some winter amenities are now available, ready for perusal! But that's not all there's to find: everyone also will find reminders of their homes, of people they know, of happier times.

The ones I've seen are good people. They deserve to be remembered by more than just me.

...Very well.

They were recruited into the Knights shortly after the war. The Great War claimed many lives; our numbers were low, and I admit that I wasn't well, after all of that - it took its toll.

They were mostly commoners, whereas the knights before were mostly nobility; they...helped me a great deal in getting through that period of time. They were dedicated to helping people - to rebuilding the Empire, and to seeing through our dreams for the future. They were largely unburdened by the Council and their opinions on them; I usually tried to keep them from knowing how chaotic everything was in that regard, as our relations with the Council itself were poor.

But they were very bright, very diligent people. We all held the same ideals - we wanted to help the Empire, to save it from the corruption it was mired in and allow everyone in it to prosper. They were...very important to me.

I'm sure they appreciated their time with you as much as you did

[And that's honestly the part that agitates him most, regarding how they died.]

I want to believe their time while alive was good to them.

[Reaches out to lightly pat Alexei's shoulder. He can't offer much comfort, not having known them, but he believes that Alexei would be good to the people working with him, at least.]

[He appreciates it, sort of? Articulating that is just difficult.]

I just wasn't expecting to have to handle any of that today.
