TRIAL IV
Trial IV
The story presses onward as you gather in this now familiar "courtroom" to deliberate the deaths of two more of your number. By now there's more space for everyone with the population dwindling down to twenty, and by this weekend's end it will dip ever further. But maybe in a time like this more space is needed, though one most always be mindful of the clock.
Adora and Norton Campbell are dead, and the price must be repaid.
[OOC NOTE: Please keep in mind the only mod run checks are those that directly involve a piece of evidence found during the investigation. Those checks that involve player participation will rely on each player's willingless to partake in the check, for the sake of keeping IC choices intact]

william will step out behind the privacy screen, and even beneath the sleeves there's still the end of the cut still visible. ]
An accident with a weapon of mine from Wednesday. It's already half-healed, it's not fresh.

I've been meanin' ta apologize fer that... How'd ya end up gettin' it from yer sword, then?

When I received my cane from the shopkeeper fairy, I did not expect for the blade hidden inside it to still be intact.
[ ... ]
I was startled.
no subject
[Transform weapons are not uncommon in Vesperialand so he's not even skeptical about the cane's legitimacy.]
Can ya tell me how it works?

...but...you're not the only one with an injury. That's why it looks so bad...a-and you tried to hide it. Makoto said something about training, but I don't know or understand what he meant if he saw it or not, so can you clarify that too?
Also can you just lift up your shirt? I'm not accusing you, but it's just...best to be sure. Just so no one has anymore reason for more doubt?
no subject
[ his torso is clear! no injuries, recent or otherwise. ]
no subject
Name at least vone person zat would know about this injury. Or dit you truly not inform anyone, despite the possibility of it becoming a danger later on?

Backtagging makes trials more fun
I mean, I saw it.

you've gotta be fucking kidding him]
You accidentally injure a man in a sword fight in a place vhere we have trials every Friday to determine who committed ze murder of the week and sentence zem to death-vhere, I might also att, ve have hat to do strip searches for injuries more zan once and somehow-some FICKEN how-you sink it is not pertinent to mention it before he coult be suspected?
Eizer you killed Frau Adora and are working wis him, or you truly are the most stupid man I have met in my entire life.
[Not said entirely seriously, but...that is just...frustrating...]
no subject
I'm not great at swordfighting, but it was obvious he wasn't doing as well as his profile said. So of course I noticed.
[ Just a lil shade. ]
no subject
As it is, he's just. Turning his head and ignoring Makoto for the rest of the trial if he can help it. He's not accusing Moriarty now, but he is specifically going out of his way to avoid looking at Makoto.
You want a murderer found and no bickering? Fine, he will not bicker by imagining an idiot here no longer exists. That works, right?!]

[If for no other reason than the fact that she thinks Makoto would choose a different target.]
no subject
I know, I know. I am merely...frustrated at the depths of stupidity one can go to.
[Makoto hit rock bottom and just brought out a pick axe.]

Wei Wuxian woke up because a killer got too close to him
Right?
Tenn, Makoto and I were in the same bed
If one of us had been the killer the other two would have woken up
I think he's just kind of dumb

[ he'll show the scar, if he has to. it's clearly more than a few days old, considering that it's scabbed over and not bleeding even without bandages. ]

I also think... depending on the cut, it would not be half-healed in a day and a half. At least, not without the use of a potion. But why would a potion be used for a simple cut, unless it was necessary for something else that came after Wednesday? It was established, I think, that someone fought Lord Norton.
This is not limited to you, Lord Moriarty. Some others have used elixirs and potions, too. Myself included.
no subject
[ also if she wants to examine the cut, it's not like. a slice? definitely surface level cut. just long. ]

[Jack looks both confused and a little alarmed as he steps forward to try and examine what's visible there. He looks around at Pericles and Makoto and seems a little more settled, though still somewhat baffled.]
Is this why you were so terrible at scooping paper fish...? That must be the reason...
