Trial IV

The story presses onward as you gather in this now familiar "courtroom" to deliberate the deaths of two more of your number. By now there's more space for everyone with the population dwindling down to twenty, and by this weekend's end it will dip ever further. But maybe in a time like this more space is needed, though one most always be mindful of the clock.

Adora and Norton Campbell are dead, and the price must be repaid.

Perhaps the killer was trying to avoid a confrontation.

The body was sawed up after he died, right?

That's what it sounds like. At least, that's what I hope...

[For obvious reasons. But don't take his word on this, he's no forensics expert here.]

I sure as hell hope he was.

'sides, we didn't really find a huge amount of blood that'd match with him bein'...y'know. Alive for it.

... to be fair, I would assume that there would still be a great amount of blood regardless of whether he was alive or not. It wasn't just some superficial cuts.

[ pauses ]

Though the lack of blood outside of what was found in the general store is concerning, regardless.

There was that bloody fabric I found in the workshop. It could have been used to soak up blood or to transport... [ ugh ] the sections of the body, or both.

It was quite a bit of blood.

[Hmmm.]

And ya did say it was shredded, right? I guess they coulda used that ta soak up the blood while they cut him up, but those tears probably would've left some blood during transport, right?
