The story presses onward as you gather in this now familiar "courtroom" to deliberate the deaths of two more of your number. By now there's more space for everyone with the population dwindling down to twenty, and by this weekend's end it will dip ever further. But maybe in a time like this more space is needed, though one most always be mindful of the clock.

Adora and Norton Campbell are dead, and the price must be repaid.

Yuri usually smells nice, though: I’m pretty sure she always washes up before going to bed, and she didn’t touch the corpses...it’s not weird for her to be clean.

Remember vhat we are looking for, here. The smell of baking, the stench of bitter almonds, or a notably clean scent. If someone fits zat mold, we can not deny the possiblilty zey dit it.

I doubt it vas her, but we can not deny the possibility.

You're going to accuse her based on the fact she... washed her hands? I do understand we cannot exclude the possibility, but this is rather weak as far as evidence goes.

Everyone here knows Yuri can bake - to kill somebody with cookies only a week after she has made a large batch for some of us would be beyond reckless.

We will definitely have to keep these details in mind, but there are still a good few hours left in the trial. We shouldn't get hasty to over-compensate for the close calls we've had before.

William and I both nearly died thanks to profiling last time. We were tall enough, tidy enough, smelled sweet or were knowledgeable...

It seems more luck than anything that we did not make a wrong call. I don't want this time to end worse.

I understand your concern very well, but it is exactly how obvious it seems to consider Yuri that gives me pause.

If I may interject... Did we decide for certain that the killer is well-versed in poisons? They did not... exactly use that great an amount of poison, it seems, and we have not determined exactly how she died.

This seems a little hasty to me.

Exactly. Yuri's not the only person here who knows how to cook, it was probably just cookies for convenience...someone mentioned cyanide smelling like almonds, right?

I am also not entirely certain how we've decided that nobody else knows to bake.

There are some people who appear to be general disasters in the kitchen or with most other common life skills, but the margin of others who have simply never felt desire to try and cook or bake is still large.

Mmhmm! I mean, most people who are familiar with the kitchen can follow a recipe, too. So throwing Yuri under the bus just because she's good at baking...it'd be the same as suspecting you just because you always carry sweets with you anyway.

Besides, at this point, it's not like many people are going to advertise that skill now...

Thing is, those cookies didn't have to come from one of us. Huaisang confirmed that there wasn't anything in the oven, though the scent was stronger in that area. So either the killer did a good job cleaning up after themselves...

...or those cookies came straight from the bakery.

This teaches us not to get too heated. I completely forgot about the bakery as an option despite the fact that I take cookies from there every other day.

I could verify if they are from the bakery or not if we had them here, but...

It would make sense to use cooled cookies rather than freshly baked, hot ones.

Tell me, how many people here suspect Forger of murdering Herr Ichimaru? Zat they recognized signs such as trying to kill c-ta after his guilt was revealed? Or seemed raser adamant that it was Herr Yeager who committed the crime, despite no concrete evidence pointing towarts him?

Or, looking back on it, how her shoes vere notably clean? Despite a corpse being outside her door?

If we are to find our culprit, ve can not ignore anysing that coult be suspicious. Even wis our personal doubts.

I recall that the person accusing Yeager for being calm was yourself, yes. It was quite the sight, too.

We are not out of time right now. We have the luxury of going through the crime thoroughly and from every angle. Settling on a culprit literal hours before the voting end based on basic personal hygiene is ridiculous.

And I vill admit it was a mistake on my part. But Forger was one who seemed interested in condemning him-if I overheard correctly, I believe she voted for him as vell.

I am not suggesting we stop everysing and call a vote here and now, du depp. I am stating we can not rule out suspects on mere feelings. If Frau Elizabeth is suspicious in some way, she is on the list of suspects, despite how much I disbelieve it.

Do you understand? Or do you just simply enjoy stating I am incorrect?

I understand your point, but I would also like to ask you to point out when I have said I am ruling her out, because I do not believe I did.

So am I. But nonetheless, until we find somesing concretely pointing towart someone, it woult be best not to rule out suspects based on gut feelings.
