The story presses onward as you gather in this now familiar "courtroom" to deliberate the deaths of two more of your number. By now there's more space for everyone with the population dwindling down to twenty, and by this weekend's end it will dip ever further. But maybe in a time like this more space is needed, though one most always be mindful of the clock.

Adora and Norton Campbell are dead, and the price must be repaid.

I'm not really one for hand to hand combat without weapons, but it does make sense that if someone were to hit a relatively dense object it would leave some kind of mark, even if there are ways to mitigate it.
