AFTERPARTY III: Never Have I Ever Been Quite This Drunk

[There's absolutely nothing celebratory about this drinking party. "Party" isn't even the right word, not really-- it's more like a "drink until you forget and/or black out" session for anyone who wants to participate, and even the bartender isn't immune from that much. Please forgive him if your drink isn't mixed quite right; he's trying his best under the circumstances.

There's food, too, if anyone wants to attempt to stave off a hangover tomorrow, or just get something in their stomach after the events of the day: stirfry from Makoto, vegetable soup from Nageki (mediocre, but hey, a genuine effort was made and that's what counts), and some tea for those who would rather abstain from the harder stuff. (Is that even many people tonight? Probably not.)

Come on by the bar if you're hungry or want a drink, or even if you just don't want to be alone right now. That much, at least, is something that can be guaranteed tonight.]

But it's nice to believe that he had, so he will for the moment. But the line of questioning did give him pause as he considered the brunet in front of him carefully. ]

Makoto, could it be you would really like to be my friend too?

I'm glad.

[ Makoto seems to think that's where that line of conversation will end. Caught off guard, he blinks over at him in the dark. Surprise gives way to a smile he didn't think he was capable of when he'd first wandered into the park alone. ]

Are you offering to be my friend, Huaisang?

[ Him asking that question made Huaisang almost forget he was in a sullen mood (it was still there, trust him on that.) ]

...W-well I already asked because I thought that you wanted to, so yes? Then I was right?

[ Or maybe not, what did he know!! ]

Anyway, if you want to be friends, just let me know. I'll accept right away, so don't feel like it'd be a bother or anything like that.

[ Makoto laughs, but it's a warm sound that bubbles up without his permission. He's used to being the one feeling teased. Even though it'd been on accident, his new friend's reaction is strangely endearing. Or maybe he's had more to drink than he thought. ]

Yes, you were right. Let's be friends.
... But I hope you know that means you can talk with me about anything now. We all have problems, things we don't want to bother other people with, but I don't mind any of that.

[ Even like this he still managed to get teased/feel like he was. But he didn't mind. It wasn't a bad teasing, and it had taken his mind off of what happened for a bit. ]

Just be prepared for me to bother you a lot, alright?

[ He's joking a bit, but also. It's Huaisang. ]

[ And with that, he'll fall silent again. At least it's not an uncomfortable one this time for him. ]
