AFTERPARTY III: Never Have I Ever Been Quite This Drunk

[There's absolutely nothing celebratory about this drinking party. "Party" isn't even the right word, not really-- it's more like a "drink until you forget and/or black out" session for anyone who wants to participate, and even the bartender isn't immune from that much. Please forgive him if your drink isn't mixed quite right; he's trying his best under the circumstances.
There's food, too, if anyone wants to attempt to stave off a hangover tomorrow, or just get something in their stomach after the events of the day: stirfry from Makoto, vegetable soup from Nageki (mediocre, but hey, a genuine effort was made and that's what counts), and some tea for those who would rather abstain from the harder stuff. (Is that even many people tonight? Probably not.)
Come on by the bar if you're hungry or want a drink, or even if you just don't want to be alone right now. That much, at least, is something that can be guaranteed tonight.]

Tenn was someone who felt like a little brother to him. Though he would not say that, because of the loss the other felt, and it would be too soon. Also coupled with the fact that they had only known each other for about a little over three weeks.
Still, he will reach out and wrap his arms around Tenn, bringing him close, and lightly patting his back. Tenn wouldn't be wrong to presume that Huaisang needed this hug as much as he did. ]

Whether or not that kindness is fake, well, he doesn't know. But for now, believing in Huaisang's kind gesture feels nice.
He's quiet as it happens. He understands what Huaisang is going through.

He continued not to say anything, thinking that sometimes silence and action would suffice for a moment. But then, he'll say: ]
...If you also want to cry it out too, I don't mind. It's not like I'd be able to see it right now.
[ And he's done more than his fair share of crying. ]

[ He means it, too. He sounds pretty sad, and somewhat distant, but he wont' let himself cry anymore. Not tonight. ]
Thank you though, Huaisang. I appreciate it.

It's no problem. Even if we're being constantly pitted against each other, I think...in the end there is still no problem looking to one another as a shoulder to lean on.
[ Huaisang will always expect someone to betray him, so he's never really completely surprised when it happens. But, he didn't want to live a life where he couldn't express himself for fear of being taken advantage of. So even if he won't trust so easily, he won't hide away from anyone reaching out to him. ]

[ ... ]
You can talk about him, if you want. Wei Wuxian. I only got to speak to him a few times, but if you want to tell me anything about him in his memory, then I'll listen.

But, maybe I could begin with saying he was always someone full of life, even when he was tired. The type of person who would speak up for someone who was being bullied by others. Even when things became difficult for him, deep down he never stopped being true to himself.
[ Usually he'd speak about how funny he might've been to some others who had asked, but he wanted other details about him to be known too. ]
Not many people believed in him, however. The world turned against him because of a corrupt Sect Leader, but even when others said he was evil, he stayed kind to those who needed it. When I was younger, I used to hide behind him when things got dangerous because I was awful at fighting. And even when he came here, he spoke up for me even though he didn't have to when I made a mistake. I think ... for once, I wanted to be the friend who protected him.
But, anyway, that's the kind of person he was. I would like you to remember him as such, if you can.
