AFTERPARTY III: Never Have I Ever Been Quite This Drunk

[There's absolutely nothing celebratory about this drinking party. "Party" isn't even the right word, not really-- it's more like a "drink until you forget and/or black out" session for anyone who wants to participate, and even the bartender isn't immune from that much. Please forgive him if your drink isn't mixed quite right; he's trying his best under the circumstances.
There's food, too, if anyone wants to attempt to stave off a hangover tomorrow, or just get something in their stomach after the events of the day: stirfry from Makoto, vegetable soup from Nageki (mediocre, but hey, a genuine effort was made and that's what counts), and some tea for those who would rather abstain from the harder stuff. (Is that even many people tonight? Probably not.)
Come on by the bar if you're hungry or want a drink, or even if you just don't want to be alone right now. That much, at least, is something that can be guaranteed tonight.]

I do. It's the past that shaped us into what we are today - what we do, how we feel, they are responses to what we experienced before. Even if I agree that we're getting better and better impressions of one another through these high tension situations, it's not nearly as revealing as it would be if we were privy to the details of our lives.
[ Somewhere during that explanation he stops looking at Yeager and stares into his glass instead. ]

[He doesn't sound very fond if it, but there's certainly a lot to be said for how true that is. People tend to be shaped by their past whether they like it or not, which can better explain their behavior. Maybe it would have given them more warning signs... or maybe it would have made them even more paranoid.]
But I'm not sure knowing all of that really would have helped, ja?
[Though he is admittedly very biased, since he doesn't want to know what would be listed for his own.]
...Are you going to be alright after all of that?
[It's more of a question out of curiosity than concern, but he assumes that's the reason behind the melancholy here.]

Of course. I was hardly the one hit worst by suspicion out there.
[ Not today and not generally - Yeager and Moriarty both got a much rougher deal. ]
It was an exhausting day, but I'm old enough to have had many of those in my life. [ And with a mild headshake: ] Candy... of all things.

[He almost feels bad for William, but hey at least someone else gets it!!! Anyway.]
I must admit, I'm a bit surprised as well. I didn't even bother to spend much time in any of the locations we just received aside from the bar... so I wasn't aware we had candy that could be used as weaponry.
[Which is totally ridiculous and also exactly what he should have expected of candyland.]
Still, that does seem like a rather silly thing to be accused over...
[Poor McGillis' sweet tooth will never be forgotten now.]

[ They serve him BLACK COFFEE, Yeager, his life is a struggle. ]
I consider myself fortunate that previous checks and encounters have left it well documented regardless of that.
Unfortunately, I did still find the candyland rather unsettling so my knowledge of the 'forbidden candy', so to say, was limited.

[It's absolutely dumb to be ridiculing someone's preferences, but that also sounds like something he could see the knights doing, so yeah. Makes sense.]
I suppose we really do need to check every available location in the new areas from now on. I wasn't aware of the echo houses and their unique properties either.
[And look how well that went!!!!]

[ MAGIC!! He loves it in theory and hates it in practice, but they've had that talk already. ]
Not knowing what we are even looking for with regards to effects will make this difficult, but on the other hand... there is woefully little do to here, might as well spend a whole week investigating.

[.........the peach museum is hilarious so he's definitely correct here!!!]

At least other horrid places tend to be straight-forward about being a threat.

[maybe we'll have a nice week and someone will drown with no pumpkins involved.]
