CHAPTER 2

CHAPTER 2

The first chapter was over. The stakes and mechanics of the system you're in have been shown to their full extent, and regardless of how you feel about the Samidare and Zola's deaths, the story must go on.

Clean-up is done with a perfection that'd make you wonder if there ever was a murder on that rooftop in the residential district. Everything is spotless and repaired, making it look like nothing ever happened. If it wasn't for the absence of two people among your number, you'd think it had all been a bad dream. But it wasn't. The brutality of the incident and the execution make that plainly clear.

Now, with the opening of a new week, something else opens. Lands beyond the area you spent seven days in. What will the new week bring? Will it be another murder?

Keep turning the pages and find out.

[[Welcome to Week 2! Feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. However, please try to keep investigations to Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday! You can also privately contact Hamelin at your leisure.

In addition, a reminder that any Murder Proposals for this week are due by Tuesday 3:00 PM EST/12:00 PM PST! However, please note that you have the option of submitting murder proposals for a later week as well.]]

[ what do you even say to that, nageki needs coaching ]

...Don't take it too hard. We can't be good at everything.
gemuinemanagement: (down by the sea)

[personal profile] gemuinemanagement 2021-06-11 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
I guess
But it would be nice not to be a danger in the kitchen at least
libirdian: (someone calling)

[personal profile] libirdian 2021-06-11 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
Worse comes to worse, there's always a fire extinguisher.
gemuinemanagement: (where is the dream)

[personal profile] gemuinemanagement 2021-06-13 03:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Do we have fire extinguishers in fairytale land

[He hasn't actually checked?]
libirdian: (thinking options)

[personal profile] libirdian 2021-06-13 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[ neither has he ]

...I'm not actually sure. Safety precautions aren't exactly high-priority here.
gemuinemanagement: (of indignation)

[personal profile] gemuinemanagement 2021-06-13 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Not really
If you accidentally kill someone in a kitchen fire, do you still get a wish
That sounds like the kind of thing he'd think was funny
libirdian: (worth pondering)

[personal profile] libirdian 2021-06-13 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
[ ugh that's a cursed thought ]

Maybe, once he stops laughing, he'd allow it once before rewriting the rules so "not everything can be accidents".
gemuinemanagement: (and pulse to pulse)

[personal profile] gemuinemanagement 2021-06-13 09:48 pm (UTC)(link)
He probably would
But I'd prefer not to risk hurting anybody
libirdian: (reading books)

[personal profile] libirdian 2021-06-13 09:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, it's not worth it.

[ He's already going over his mental map of the archives, thinking of where he can find books about fire extinguishers. ]

I'll try to see if there's something in the library about how to make one just in case.
gemuinemanagement: (it is the nature)

[personal profile] gemuinemanagement 2021-06-13 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe I just won't try to cook
libirdian: (lecture time)

[personal profile] libirdian 2021-06-13 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Alternatively, you can ask Hamelin to borrow his kitchen.
gemuinemanagement: (and pulse to pulse)

[personal profile] gemuinemanagement 2021-06-13 10:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you think he has a separate one from the rest of us
libirdian: (thinking options)

[personal profile] libirdian 2021-06-13 10:10 pm (UTC)(link)
...You have a point. I can't imagine him putting on an apron and hat to cook.
gemuinemanagement: (of indignation)

[personal profile] gemuinemanagement 2021-06-13 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
He probably gets the fairies to cook for him
libirdian: (mourning dove)

[personal profile] libirdian 2021-06-13 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Likely. He really overworks the fairies too much. I'm surprised they follow him so readily.
gemuinemanagement: (let's type words)

[personal profile] gemuinemanagement 2021-06-16 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
Do you think he's compelling them magically somehow
Or maybe blackmailing them?
