CHAPTER 2
CHAPTER 2
The first chapter was over. The stakes and mechanics of the system you're in have been shown to their full extent, and regardless of how you feel about the Samidare and Zola's deaths, the story must go on.
Clean-up is done with a perfection that'd make you wonder if there ever was a murder on that rooftop in the residential district. Everything is spotless and repaired, making it look like nothing ever happened. If it wasn't for the absence of two people among your number, you'd think it had all been a bad dream. But it wasn't. The brutality of the incident and the execution make that plainly clear.
Now, with the opening of a new week, something else opens. Lands beyond the area you spent seven days in. What will the new week bring? Will it be another murder?
Keep turning the pages and find out.
[[Welcome to Week 2! Feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. However, please try to keep investigations to Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday! You can also privately contact Hamelin at your leisure.
In addition, a reminder that any Murder Proposals for this week are due by Tuesday 3:00 PM EST/12:00 PM PST! However, please note that you have the option of submitting murder proposals for a later week as well.]]

[ He falls quiet again, after she says that. It's not wrong; this is the first song he had in mind when he thought about what kind of music would best fit everything that had happened over these past few days. ]

With a concerned look, she walks over to him.]
Tenn...?

[ He looks away, turns away from her -- but his head hangs again, and he brings a hand up to shield his eyes. ]
Sorry. ... Sorry, Yor-san. I...
[ He's trying to hold it together, but ultimately, Tenn is a boy who only wants to make people smile. He never thought he'd have to be placed in a situation where he'd have to fight for his life -- and Riku's, too, though it's really started turning into more than just Riku's life that he wants to protect. Never did Tenn imagine that he'd start to watch the people he cares about start dropping around him like flies.
It's too much for him to handle. ]

...You can't die, Yor-san.

Don't worry about me. I'm strong, even if I don't look like it.
[One hand slides to his back, a gentle, comforting rub. Idly, she can't help but wonder - would a day come when she comforted Anya like this, even years later...?]
So just focus on protecting yourself, okay? And I'll do everything I can to help, too.

I'll try. I have to look out for Riku, too.
[ But what happens if he can't -- that's what scares him. ]
...Thank you. For...not laughing, or something like that.
