CHAPTER 2

CHAPTER 2

The first chapter was over. The stakes and mechanics of the system you're in have been shown to their full extent, and regardless of how you feel about the Samidare and Zola's deaths, the story must go on.

Clean-up is done with a perfection that'd make you wonder if there ever was a murder on that rooftop in the residential district. Everything is spotless and repaired, making it look like nothing ever happened. If it wasn't for the absence of two people among your number, you'd think it had all been a bad dream. But it wasn't. The brutality of the incident and the execution make that plainly clear.

Now, with the opening of a new week, something else opens. Lands beyond the area you spent seven days in. What will the new week bring? Will it be another murder?

Keep turning the pages and find out.

[[Welcome to Week 2! Feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. However, please try to keep investigations to Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday! You can also privately contact Hamelin at your leisure.

In addition, a reminder that any Murder Proposals for this week are due by Tuesday 3:00 PM EST/12:00 PM PST! However, please note that you have the option of submitting murder proposals for a later week as well.]]

[ How did he know - oh! That promise. ]

Yes! Is it time to collect?
biyishuangfei: (♪ No rules)

[personal profile] biyishuangfei 2021-06-08 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
[ Yeah, Huaisang was many things but thankfully not a clairvoyant or psychic. Whether that applied to other people was another story entirely. ]

Yes, it is. Do you want me to start? And what would you be most curious about, if I did?
sempiternel: (058)

[personal profile] sempiternel 2021-06-08 05:36 am (UTC)(link)
How about... why you are wearing a dress? Of course, if it is simply a matter of proclivity, then I shall not judge at all!

[ She has heard of men who like to dress like women. She understands. ]
biyishuangfei: (♪ Risky)

things I thought I tagged for 500 fffffff

[personal profile] biyishuangfei 2021-06-08 05:18 pm (UTC)(link)
A dress?

[ He'll look at his robes, looking confused; he did wear a dress for the Cinderella thing for the fairy godmother role, but... ]

I'm not wearing a dress. These are my usual robes I wear daily. Does it look like a dress?
sempiternel: (083)

I see how it is lum... :(

[personal profile] sempiternel 2021-06-08 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Well... [ She twirls and her skirts flare out gently before gathering close like a flower bud swaying softly in the wind. ] Now you, my lord.
biyishuangfei: (♪ But)

nooo soupieeeee

[personal profile] biyishuangfei 2021-06-08 05:34 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Huaisang twirled around like she did, his robes flaring out kind of like hers.

...Huh. That was actually fun. He did it again and - wait. ]

I think I get what you mean now. Though we certainly don't call them that in my homeland.

[ He twirled around one last time just for fun though! ]
sempiternel: (059)

[personal profile] sempiternel 2021-06-09 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
What do you call them then?

[ She moves over to the mannequin, just in case Huaisang knocks it over with his spinning. ]
biyishuangfei: (♪ No rules)

[personal profile] biyishuangfei 2021-06-09 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Guess what. He absolutely knocked it over on his last twirl and didn't even notice, better catch before it fell to the ground... ]

Oh, just robes. They're pretty easy to move in, as you can see.
sempiternel: (061)

[personal profile] sempiternel 2021-06-09 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Catching! ]

But what makes them robes and not a dress? I see you're familiar with both terms.
biyishuangfei: (♪ Risky)

[personal profile] biyishuangfei 2021-06-09 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, well, a lot of dresses are harder to move around in. They're not always layered like the clothing I wear, and don't have sleeves like this. [ He'll show his very long sleeves. ] They're also more loose-fitting than a dress.

I think there's a lot of differences, but these are the first that come to mind.
sempiternel: (024)

[personal profile] sempiternel 2021-06-09 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I see! You're right in that these dresses can be quite heavy, making it hard to move around. I could never imagine, say, sparring in a dress.
biyishuangfei: (♪ 3)

[personal profile] biyishuangfei 2021-06-10 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
That's right. I think fighting in a dress would end up with a lot of tripping and falling...

[ He's probably going to end the day doing at least one of those but that's for future Huaisang to be concerned with. ]
sempiternel: (061)

[personal profile] sempiternel 2021-06-10 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
[ She's never been in harm's way when there's been fighting, so she's never had to fight, uh, anything. ]

I've never tried in a dress, but would the sleeves of your robes not be cumbersome as well?
biyishuangfei: (♪ 2)

[personal profile] biyishuangfei 2021-06-10 02:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, that's true.

[ For amazing cultivators, however, this would not be a problem! ]
sempiternel: (061)

[personal profile] sempiternel 2021-06-10 10:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Then what is the point of them being so wide? Are there pockets inside, perhaps?
