The first chapter was over. The stakes and mechanics of the system you're in have been shown to their full extent, and regardless of how you feel about the Samidare and Zola's deaths, the story must go on.

Clean-up is done with a perfection that'd make you wonder if there ever was a murder on that rooftop in the residential district. Everything is spotless and repaired, making it look like nothing ever happened. If it wasn't for the absence of two people among your number, you'd think it had all been a bad dream. But it wasn't. The brutality of the incident and the execution make that plainly clear.

Now, with the opening of a new week, something else opens. Lands beyond the area you spent seven days in. What will the new week bring? Will it be another murder?

Of course! I've had to navigate the desert back home before, and I didn't get lost there! So don't fret too much, I'll be just fine~

Oh no, thankfully my business tends to keep me away from the desert. There's really only one town out that far anyway, though I have had to visit more than I would have liked.

Mercenary work, essentially. My guild handles whatever we're paid for, which usually involves things like bodyguard work. I personally sell blastia, which is why I was in the area.

What's a blasstia

[Almost.]

Blastia are power sources. Small ones can be used by people to strengthen their capabilities in combat - that's how we can fight monsters, after all! - while larger ones can be used to power our lights and handle running water and the like. The cities are all protected by a barrier blastia; this keeps the monsters out and is certainly a very important use of it!

So as you can see, they're essential for everyone, and that makes them quite profitable.

Ja, indeed! Of course, it doesn't seem likely I'll be out of a job any time soon with Leviathan's Claw either, my guild members seem quite fond of me.

My daughters are very professional. Should any of my subordinates have a problem with my leadership, they're welcome to bring it up at any time. And besides, Gauche and Droite are often handling business in town, so it isn't as though there's no time for them to approach me without the twins around.

[Not that... they even know the twins are his daughters.......... but that's not the point!!]
