CHAPTER 2
CHAPTER 2
The first chapter was over. The stakes and mechanics of the system you're in have been shown to their full extent, and regardless of how you feel about the Samidare and Zola's deaths, the story must go on.
Clean-up is done with a perfection that'd make you wonder if there ever was a murder on that rooftop in the residential district. Everything is spotless and repaired, making it look like nothing ever happened. If it wasn't for the absence of two people among your number, you'd think it had all been a bad dream. But it wasn't. The brutality of the incident and the execution make that plainly clear.
Now, with the opening of a new week, something else opens. Lands beyond the area you spent seven days in. What will the new week bring? Will it be another murder?
Keep turning the pages and find out.
[[Welcome to Week 2! Feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. However, please try to keep investigations to Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday! You can also privately contact Hamelin at your leisure.
In addition, a reminder that any Murder Proposals for this week are due by Tuesday 3:00 PM EST/12:00 PM PST! However, please note that you have the option of submitting murder proposals for a later week as well.]]

He'll step a little closer, lowering his fan. ]
...I think here's where I'd give my own in return for causing so much trouble, but I'd already done a lot of apologizing, so it'd be unnecessary at this point. But, I'm grateful you decided to do so in the first place.
At the very least, I knew you were also trying your best, and even though things were rocky, I could appreciate that too.
[ Because Huaisang at least knew it was not done out of malice. Even so, he'll give a little grateful bow of his own, raising up just so with him appearing more at ease. ]

Of course. I merely wanted to clear up any lingering misunderstandings; I'm glad you know that there was no ill will involved, as there certainly wasn't.
How are you holding up, incidentally?

[ He'll give a small yawn and then move to sit back down. It was considerably less graceful than the actions he had performed a second or so ago, but it's been a long weekend, honestly. ]
It helps I have something to occupy my time with [ As in, having distractions ], what with the archives being more than one floor and full of reading content.
What about you?

[ He'll look from his pile of books back up to Alexei. Then he'll pat the spot next to him. ]
I think you should join me for a little bit. It can't hurt to sit down for a few minutes...oh, and maybe you'll be drawn to reading one of these books. It's not a bad way to spend time.
