CHAPTER 2

CHAPTER 2

The first chapter was over. The stakes and mechanics of the system you're in have been shown to their full extent, and regardless of how you feel about the Samidare and Zola's deaths, the story must go on.

Clean-up is done with a perfection that'd make you wonder if there ever was a murder on that rooftop in the residential district. Everything is spotless and repaired, making it look like nothing ever happened. If it wasn't for the absence of two people among your number, you'd think it had all been a bad dream. But it wasn't. The brutality of the incident and the execution make that plainly clear.

Now, with the opening of a new week, something else opens. Lands beyond the area you spent seven days in. What will the new week bring? Will it be another murder?

Keep turning the pages and find out.

[[Welcome to Week 2! Feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. However, please try to keep investigations to Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday! You can also privately contact Hamelin at your leisure.

In addition, a reminder that any Murder Proposals for this week are due by Tuesday 3:00 PM EST/12:00 PM PST! However, please note that you have the option of submitting murder proposals for a later week as well.]]

I don't want to give that guy any more satisfaction than I have to

[If there's one thing they can all agree on, it's Fuck Hamelin.]
ideismo: (18. Of those I've served)

[personal profile] ideismo 2021-06-07 07:10 pm (UTC)(link)
That's certainly a factor in it as well, yes.

I find that I can't fault those who kill under the constraints he's put us under. It was their choice to act, but a choice made under duress isn't really a choice. I understand people's anger with Zola, but I couldn't condemn her for what she did, either.
gemuinemanagement: (soap sliver you're so thin)

[personal profile] gemuinemanagement 2021-06-07 07:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Killing a person isn't a wish I'd think of as sympathetic
ideismo: (05. My purpose is set; my will defined)

[personal profile] ideismo 2021-06-07 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Perhaps it isn't. But it's not necessarily our place to decide that. We don't know in full what the situation was, or why she wanted that specific person gone.

I find it likely that it wasn't for a sympathetic reason, but to her it was enough, and I have difficulty condemning that.
gemuinemanagement: (you're so worth it)

[personal profile] gemuinemanagement 2021-06-07 08:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Well
I do think Hamelin's the one most at fault here

[And he would've preferred if Zola hadn't died, but... if it was her or somebody who didn't kill a teenager in order to kill another person, he'd definitely pick her.]
ideismo: (18. Of those I've served)

[personal profile] ideismo 2021-06-07 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
A shame he won't allow himself to be voted for, but that's hardly surprising.
gemuinemanagement: ('cause for that instant)

[personal profile] gemuinemanagement 2021-06-07 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
That would be too easy
Unfortunately he's not that stupid
ideismo: (03. But powerless I watched)

[personal profile] ideismo 2021-06-07 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Unfortunately not. Though I can appreciate the attempts at asking during the trial.
gemuinemanagement: (people come and people go I know)

[personal profile] gemuinemanagement 2021-06-07 09:57 pm (UTC)(link)
And we don't have any idea of his weaknesses yet
Other than maybe salt
ideismo: (05. My purpose is set; my will defined)

[personal profile] ideismo 2021-06-07 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Isn't there something about faeries and salt, just in general...? I'm not altogether aware of the folklore there. I know it's supposed to ward off something.
gemuinemanagement: (and pulse to pulse)

[personal profile] gemuinemanagement 2021-06-07 10:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Salt
Iron
Steel
There are more but I'm not that familiar with Western folklore
