Good morning and happy Friday. Despite the sense of the coming end, today starts off just like any other Friday in Aira Niluc, with a song finding its way to your ears. Normally this would be followed by an announcement, but there is only silence in it's wake.

The curious might be piqued to gather where what's becoming familiar by now, and they'll find that the fountain is completely drained, leading downward into a completely dark abyss. An emerald slide glitters, clearly an invitation of some sort, but it's probably not best to go down there until you're all prepared. Take stock of what you need, explore to find any other changes in the world, and then gather together.

[ Huaisang kind of just waits a bit before going down as well; he will legit go down once the item has been successfully tossed into void. ]

The item falls in silence. The white emptiness doesn't affect it, and soon it goes into the black void. Once it's there, though...

...it's hard to see, but Huaisang and Yeager will be able to see how the item disintegrates. Pulled apart until it doesn't exist anymore either. Surviving there seems impossible.

Down in the basement the rabbit nods and speaks:

"The Beldam feeds. Children come, she offers them everything they want, and they decide to stay forever. For a long while they're happy, and the Beldam treats them well, but...they...they start dying. Maybe nobody can live here forever...

...and that's when she eats their lives. Their souls are left to haunt"

For a moment the rabbit is silent, just letting itself get sewn.

"She hasn't fed in a long while. I don't know why...she's feeding from an adult".

It keeps pausing like it needs to check if she's listening, but it really seems like he can speak what little it knows. Which is why he asks:

"Someone must be with you, right? Someone she created. I was created to accompany one of the kids, there must be somebody with you who is under her full control. Her puppet"

Her literal puppet -- an overseer. Someone who has to follow her designs.

Alright, once Huaisang's down safely, Yeager will join him by jumping down, as you do.

He's going to wander off to look at the button-eyed people instead of helping Alexei; so the surly old woman probably looks pretty familiar, right? Does she (or any of the others) react differently to Yeager?]

[ Huaisang peers at the Salmon once he's down here. Honestly after that he glances around to see if there's anything else besides these creations. ]

The old woman does seem to recognize Yeager. She doesn't say anything -- perhaps unwilling to talk, or just not caring. The Salmon seems a little wary of Huaisang, remembering him. Looks like Huaisang wrestling with it didn't make it have happy memories of him.

Other than the abandoned creations it seems there's nothing else to be found. It's almost depressing how even in the absence of stuff out there this still feels like it's deep underground somewhere. This really is a place where everything is left to rot.

The rabbit seems to cheer up a little.

"I don't know. Maybe we'll be gone too, but that's okay. You can't know how it's like to have your life at the mercy of someone else. Someone she’ll destroy the moment they do something that goes against her orders. You...you can’t know...how it’s like for your life to be in someone else’s hands...when someone created you and can destroy you before you know it.

If that will stop then it doesn't matter what happens to us. Anything is better than that"

At least it seems the rabbit does believe that much.

"I'm tired. Sorry, I really need to sleep. And wait for whatever will come. But, you know...

In the end she always consumes the children. She consumes their lives. Even if she loves them that’s what happens. I don’t know if she’s evil or not. Maybe she really aims to get someone to love...or maybe she just wants to eat...but...seeing you three there’s one thing I’m sure about…

...she holds no love for any of you.”

The rabbit can't close its eyes, being buttons, but once it said that it just didn't move anymore. Looks like this is as far as it gets.
