FINAL INVESTIGATION

Good morning and happy Friday. Despite the sense of the coming end, today starts off just like any other Friday in Aira Niluc, with a song finding its way to your ears. Normally this would be followed by an announcement, but there is only silence in it's wake.

The curious might be piqued to gather where what's becoming familiar by now, and they'll find that the fountain is completely drained, leading downward into a completely dark abyss. An emerald slide glitters, clearly an invitation of some sort, but it's probably not best to go down there until you're all prepared. Take stock of what you need, explore to find any other changes in the world, and then gather together.

[It's not circular like a glove unless we're talking about Nintendo 64 graphics. It's circular like a globe, though!

The paper seems to be notes! And what fun notes they are.]

Lo and behold, Tenn. This drawer is full of curved pieces of...something. They're all modelled with clay, and are all quite colorful and charming, honestly. These pieces are sizable and are all lying here, carefully placed so they don't break. There are approximately a dozen of pieces here.

The one right on top of everything has what seems to be a desertic area with a cave full of riches.]

[ These aren’t like puzzle pieces, are they? And does this top piece look like one of the locations they’ve seen before? ]

[Sure look similar enough to puzzle pieces! The edges have curves, curves it's not hard to guess are meant to be filled with another piece.

If Tenn takes the top piece to take a better look at it he'll find there are tiny miniatures of the houses from the desert area glued onto the painted surface. There's also a sparring ground. It's modelled pretty faithfully to all he knows.]

He will go ahead and try to solve this puzzle, then. What will the end result look like? ]

[Go ahead, Tenn! There are a dozen pieces, as mentioned before. Taking them out and lying them on the desk allows him to look at them carefully.

A lake with peaches, a land made of candy, a bamboo forest, a snowy area, a forest with a hut with chicken legs, a western suburban street and houses, a palace with a clocktower and fountain nearby, a walled city, a waterfall and shrine, a district with a very fake-looking castle, a pond with a giant apple floating on it...

If he assembles the right pieces -- the ones from the places he knows -- on a mesh he'll find it's all fitting quite well together! And...looks very small. Surprisingly small, like all there's on Aira Niluc is these places and absolutely nothing else. Small world, huh.

He may want to examine the assembled globe, though...]

[ It takes him a bit to assemble it correctly, but once he gets there, it all makes sense.

Let’s see how the globe looks, and if these pieces fit nicely on it. ]

[The pieces all fit nicely on it, but there are some empty spaces he can look through.

You know, it sure looks pretty hollow inside this globe. Even though the pieces fit on the mesh really well the core of the globe forms a spherical pocket of emptiness.

Also worth noting from the piece with the palace a small beam of light filters through the miniature fountain and into the core of the globe. There's nothing in particular to be seen, but still...
