Final Chapter

Like the secrets that spilled out into the open, the night sky above Aira Niluc also seems to be running free; whatever part of the land you find yourself in at night, you'll find that the night sky has been painted with shooting stars. Watching them brings a certain comfort, the feeling of chicken soup on a cold winter day, the nostalgia of meeting an old friend again, a warm fuzzy feeling from your core.

A boost to your spirits is likely welcome at this point, and it seems be the only thing Aira Niluc has to offer you at this as no new locations open up to you this week. There's a certain energy in the air, but not all of that can be blamed on the shooting stars, given the explosion that happened this weekend. For now the chasm in what was once the fountain remains impassable, but who knows when that will change?

[ Huaisang gets a short kiss on the mouth in response, complete with lingering floor donut taste. Oops.

And though McGillis had not initially planned to do anything much after the letter meeting, he's absolutely keeping word and preparing a nice outing at the animal café. It is very helpful that the fairies around here provide them with good ingrediencies for food. McGillis is not an experienced chef by any means, but he can do the basics and he has purchased salt today. While most of that will be going towards the purpose of preparing for The End, a bit of it can go towards the luxury of eating something that is properly seasoned for once. What could be more romantic than that?

There is also a lot of birdseed to feed the pheasants, because that is an emotional necessity with or without romance. Look at those little friends go!!

Now all that is left is the guest of honor, who gets a knock on his door. ]

I have to say, it is a very different experience to prepare everything myself rather than going to a restaurant or tasking servants. Are you ready?

[ ...Oh my god, McGillis. At least he appreciates the kiss enough that he'll be smiling into it despite the donut taste. He'll definitely get a return kiss before they depart to make their preparations.

Huaisang always liked to wear jewelry...it's not something he's done often while he's been here because when he got taken away most of it had been left back home, and he never certainly got any of it from the shop. But, he's going to be wearing it tonight - just two earrings with emeralds in them, because green has always been his color.

He frets with his hair for hours even before McGillis arrives, but it is what it is. Even his face looks radiant, ultimately freshened up. And he might have had some help with some lip balm, so...

When there's a knock at his door he thinks he can figure out who it is, and nearly swings it open in his excitement...luckily he remembers himself.

The door opens quietly, revealing the man with a smile. ]

Even if you say that, for some reason I can't help but have an incredible amount of confidence in your abilities. And, yes, I am ready.
