Like the secrets that spilled out into the open, the night sky above Aira Niluc also seems to be running free; whatever part of the land you find yourself in at night, you'll find that the night sky has been painted with shooting stars. Watching them brings a certain comfort, the feeling of chicken soup on a cold winter day, the nostalgia of meeting an old friend again, a warm fuzzy feeling from your core.

A boost to your spirits is likely welcome at this point, and it seems be the only thing Aira Niluc has to offer you at this as no new locations open up to you this week. There's a certain energy in the air, but not all of that can be blamed on the shooting stars, given the explosion that happened this weekend. For now the chasm in what was once the fountain remains impassable, but who knows when that will change?

I am the only one who has claim to a wish, so I would hope that whatever conditions apply to the rest of you are not in full effect for me. I have already earned my ending.

Hoping that they will play by the rules seems like a mistake. But that is true. Ideally, you shouldn't be affected either way.

Still, I have a feeling she hopes to stuff herself full.

[She has absolutely no faith that McGillis would at all be exempt. Yor wasn't exempt just because she'd successfully secured her wish.]

I have nothing to lose by taking a chance on all this. Either my condition is the same as yours, as it would have been had I never taken my role or it will be better - the moment I was drawn into this game, these were the only two options.

[ And he'd have taken the chance even if he remembered ever having a choice, honestly. ]

I won't lie, I would have likely done the same thing. It's an appealing offer, and while I don't care for Hamelin, I imagine that was partly shaped by circumstances.

I have a hard time imagining him as the type of person you would get along with even if you'd been in my position.

[ Then again, until recently he'd also had a hard time imagining Edelgard as the kind of person who would take Hamelin's deal and he's been surprised on that front - pleasantly so, if he's honest. ]

He's very easygoing in his way.

Honestly, I wouldn't have thought he'd be the type of person you would get along with. You strike me as even less easygoing than I am.

Oh, if I was his superior things would be very different.

[ But even then, he's had a best friend with him most of his career who is a lot less of a workaholic than he is. It's all a matter of how he meets somebody.

Rather than bring that up, though, McGillis pauses for a moment. ]
