FINAL CHAPTER
Final Chapter
Like the secrets that spilled out into the open, the night sky above Aira Niluc also seems to be running free; whatever part of the land you find yourself in at night, you'll find that the night sky has been painted with shooting stars. Watching them brings a certain comfort, the feeling of chicken soup on a cold winter day, the nostalgia of meeting an old friend again, a warm fuzzy feeling from your core.
A boost to your spirits is likely welcome at this point, and it seems be the only thing Aira Niluc has to offer you at this as no new locations open up to you this week. There's a certain energy in the air, but not all of that can be blamed on the shooting stars, given the explosion that happened this weekend. For now the chasm in what was once the fountain remains impassable, but who knows when that will change?
[[Welcome to Week 6! Feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. However, please try to keep investigations to Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday! You can also privately contact Hamelin at your leisure through Wednesday of this week.
Also, please note the shop's discount on magnifying glasses! ]]

[ A beat. ]
I know there is a chance B will not keep word at all, though.

Still, I have a feeling she hopes to stuff herself full.
[She has absolutely no faith that McGillis would at all be exempt. Yor wasn't exempt just because she'd successfully secured her wish.]

[ And he'd have taken the chance even if he remembered ever having a choice, honestly. ]

[There's a beat of hesitance before she continues.]
I won't lie, I would have likely done the same thing. It's an appealing offer, and while I don't care for Hamelin, I imagine that was partly shaped by circumstances.

[ Then again, until recently he'd also had a hard time imagining Edelgard as the kind of person who would take Hamelin's deal and he's been surprised on that front - pleasantly so, if he's honest. ]
He's very easygoing in his way.

[Claude (Derogatory).]
Honestly, I wouldn't have thought he'd be the type of person you would get along with. You strike me as even less easygoing than I am.

[ But even then, he's had a best friend with him most of his career who is a lot less of a workaholic than he is. It's all a matter of how he meets somebody.
Rather than bring that up, though, McGillis pauses for a moment. ]
But in the end, there might be something to be said for being seen for who you are.

Elaborate?

[ You're in line for a throne, that is basically like being a fake bitch. ]

Mm. True enough. Ally or enemy, I have to project a certain image. My allies expect me to be an inhuman machine, and my enemies expect me to be a smiling sychophant.
My uncle once told me that politics is, and I quote, "a bunch of people knowingly spouting nonsense and pretending that it's true." It's maddeningly stupid.
[This was before he turned on her, naturally.]
I suppose you must be feeling a lot better this last week then?
