FINAL CHAPTER

Final Chapter

Like the secrets that spilled out into the open, the night sky above Aira Niluc also seems to be running free; whatever part of the land you find yourself in at night, you'll find that the night sky has been painted with shooting stars. Watching them brings a certain comfort, the feeling of chicken soup on a cold winter day, the nostalgia of meeting an old friend again, a warm fuzzy feeling from your core.

A boost to your spirits is likely welcome at this point, and it seems be the only thing Aira Niluc has to offer you at this as no new locations open up to you this week. There's a certain energy in the air, but not all of that can be blamed on the shooting stars, given the explosion that happened this weekend. For now the chasm in what was once the fountain remains impassable, but who knows when that will change?

[[Welcome to Week 6! Feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. However, please try to keep investigations to Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday! You can also privately contact Hamelin at your leisure through Wednesday of this week.

Also, please note the shop's discount on magnifying glasses! ]]

I don't, unfortunately. For the majority of my time here, I've been focused on playing this game rather than dismantling it, so I did a lot less snooping.

[ And even now, he's not entirely sure which side he stands on if any at all... ]

Hmm. Understandable, given what you were tasked with.

[ He would've been more upset over the "traitor" stuff a while ago, but now? It's done and over with, and McGillis is being cooperative, so Tenn doesn't have any complaints.

He looks thoughtful for a moment.
]

What was it like, working with Hamelin? How did he treat you?
vogelfrei: (sad; guess not)

Hmm... cheerfully, I would say? [ Not that this doesn't apply to most of Hamelin's public persona. ] We were privy to far less special information than you might think. What he can share is limited, even with those on his side.

[ He's quiet for a bit and there is a melancholy note to his smile. ]

He really does take famiglia very seriously. He's a more sentimental person than I am, truth be told. That sorrow at Jack's funeral was entirely genuine.

Right. I heard about...that. Why he's like that, I mean.

[ From Yuri, actually. ]

I didn't think he'd have it in him to be genuine, but I guess there's something comforting about knowing he has a human side to him. ... Jack is a pretty mysterious person, too.
vogelfrei: (smile; golden boy)

[ Does 'pretty mysterious' even begin to cut it when it comes to the enigma that is Jack Vessalius? McGillis doubts it. ]

I'd say Jack is odder than Hamelin, at his core. They are both a handful though. That office was always lively.
