Final Chapter

Like the secrets that spilled out into the open, the night sky above Aira Niluc also seems to be running free; whatever part of the land you find yourself in at night, you'll find that the night sky has been painted with shooting stars. Watching them brings a certain comfort, the feeling of chicken soup on a cold winter day, the nostalgia of meeting an old friend again, a warm fuzzy feeling from your core.

A boost to your spirits is likely welcome at this point, and it seems be the only thing Aira Niluc has to offer you at this as no new locations open up to you this week. There's a certain energy in the air, but not all of that can be blamed on the shooting stars, given the explosion that happened this weekend. For now the chasm in what was once the fountain remains impassable, but who knows when that will change?

I never thought it would be, actually. But there is something kind of mesmerizing about it?

It is also a strange thing to burn, ja? It's not every day you get to set a giant gummy bear on fire!

Nope. Honestly, we don't have gummy bears in my world, so seeing this thing burn is kind of surreal.

Isn't it just? We don't have anything quite like this either, and most people don't go around setting gels on fire.

[Gels aren't exactly like gummy bears but they're close enough!!]

We use them for healing, so they're a bit too valuable to waste like this!

Are gels made from a magic spell or a blastia of some kind?

Oh no, they're... well, they're essentially a bit like gummy candies. They're a bit more like an elixir than a magic spell.

[Why don't they also have elixirs?? Ehhhhh don't worry about it.]

Children are quite fond of gels for that reason - we don't have many easily-available gummy candies otherwise! Most people find them less appealing as they get older, though...

[Especially if you're a fighter and you have to eat a lot of gels to restore your TP?? You get sick of them eventually!!!]

They do sound a little convenient to have around.

[ They don't really have anything like that back home but there are other ways like spiritual power healing to sort of balance it out. ]

I'm guessing not everyone remains too fond of them because of how much they'll have to use them as time goes on?

Ja, precisely. Though for some people it's a matter of taste as well - they're quite sweet!

I can understand that. I'll probably be inclined to like it, but not everyone is the same way.
