Like the secrets that spilled out into the open, the night sky above Aira Niluc also seems to be running free; whatever part of the land you find yourself in at night, you'll find that the night sky has been painted with shooting stars. Watching them brings a certain comfort, the feeling of chicken soup on a cold winter day, the nostalgia of meeting an old friend again, a warm fuzzy feeling from your core.

A boost to your spirits is likely welcome at this point, and it seems be the only thing Aira Niluc has to offer you at this as no new locations open up to you this week. There's a certain energy in the air, but not all of that can be blamed on the shooting stars, given the explosion that happened this weekend. For now the chasm in what was once the fountain remains impassable, but who knows when that will change?

[ McGillis avoids the snowy area usually because he hates the will-o-visions but that smoke attracts him because he's... honestly kind of worried something is wrong?

And so he arrives, to a crowd of people and a massive fire that seems vastly more unholy than the one they had before and he's.... uh. ]

Am I asking too much if I request a reasonable explanation?

Anyway, Yeager doesn't seem to mind McGillis' presence, and he holds up a hand in greeting before answering that cheerfully.]

It was time to sacrifice the king for the atrocities he committed! His death will be remembered as a great victory for the people.

[ McGillis spends a second looking between Yeager and the horrible burning remnants of a throne and decides that this is actually a fantastic historical enactment of some kind now. ]

Quite a different place from the candyland we have available, certainly! Everything was decorated in black licorice to create an unwelcoming and hostile atmosphere.

His poor subjects, covered in thin licorice coatings that limited their movements but allowed them to present a unified intimidating front to enemy candy countries....

[ Said with an entirely straight face, like he is truly bemoaning this state of affairs. ]

And to speak out was to invite catastrophe! Why, one section of town was nearly destroyed during a truly unfortunate konpeito accident... one that just so happened to conveniently destroy some of the king's most dangerous rivals...

Alas, here lies the sour candy clan... their colorful and sparkling exterior was the only thing that could truly rival the king's gummy beauty in this licorice coated world.
