CHAPTER 6
The dead now outnumber the living.
There's only one area that stayed a mystery until now. A new path revealed itself, leading to another town, surrounded by sturdy stone walls. Even from some distance away you can see the tower, rising high towards the skies. The path that leads to the city turns into gold before long, and the sky itself seems to take a beautiful tone, like it's painted with watercolors. It's such a peaceful-looking town, welcoming you with open gates. It must be nice to have another urban setting, after living in the same place for so long.
But no matter what you find it doesn't change the situation you're in. Now that your numbers are dwindling that's impossible to forget.
The story is nearing its end. There still are a handful of pages left. What will they bring?

Well, you know, I always do my best to ensure that gatherings like these are fun~ So, I'm happy to help. Assisting in putting together things like this is something I enjoy too.
[ And, you know what? He's happy to see everyone still is able to enjoy themselves. Partly out of spite to their situation, and partly because he's had a hand in it. ]
How much better do you think this one is compared to the last, by the way?

This atmosphere is a bit more my style, so I'm having a great time!
[Terca Lumireis doesn't have a proper casino (outside of that one island that I'm choosing to ignore for my own sanity) but this is exactly the sort of stuff everyone in the guilds would love, so!!]
But regardless of how much I may or may not enjoy the setting, these parties are always fun because of the people, ja? And you certainly do know how to liven up a gathering!

Anyways, he'll whistle innocently (if it sounds suspiciously like a bird whistle you're imagining things??) for a few seconds when the other asks the rhetorical question. ]
So this is what you like... I think I can understand that.
[ Huaisang doesn't even know what a casino is, but it seems like a very fun place! Plus, it's not cold and exposing anyone to the elements even when they're in proper wear, so. That probably is a plus too.
Then again, Yeager does bring a good point about the people. ]
Oh...well, you knowβyou know what? That's true. [ A small smile. ] Even with my party skills, it always does help there's some lively and good company attending too.

["Reliable", huh... Alexei would probably do all sorts of things with his face if he heard that one. But all things considered, Yeager certainly has tried to be a little less Aggressively Himself here, if only because being Aggressively Himself would really just end poorly. Still, it's not bad at all being considered reliable by someone like Huaisang. It's sort of nice, actually.]
Does that mean you have something in mind? You don't happen to have any more confetti, do you?
