CHAPTER 6
CHAPTER 6
The dead now outnumber the living.
There's only one area that stayed a mystery until now. A new path revealed itself, leading to another town, surrounded by sturdy stone walls. Even from some distance away you can see the tower, rising high towards the skies. The path that leads to the city turns into gold before long, and the sky itself seems to take a beautiful tone, like it's painted with watercolors. It's such a peaceful-looking town, welcoming you with open gates. It must be nice to have another urban setting, after living in the same place for so long.
But no matter what you find it doesn't change the situation you're in. Now that your numbers are dwindling that's impossible to forget.
The story is nearing its end. There still are a handful of pages left. What will they bring?
[[Welcome to Week 6! Feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. However, please try to keep investigations to Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday! You can also privately contact Hamelin at your leisure.
In addition, a reminder that any Murder Proposals for this week are due by Tuesday 3:00 PM EST/12:00 PM PST; this is the last week for murder proposals as week 7 is endgame. Also, please note the shop's discount on magnifying glasses! ]]

Just drink and be merry, and possibly doomed. It's all good!]
It really is a pity that Marcus' locks didn't stand up so well, but practice makes perfect! Let us hope this one doesn't take quite as long, or we may have to spend the night...

[ Yuri says all of that like it makes sense.
Occasionally, she passes Jack some hairpins when he needs them; a lady always has at least 20 extra hairpins, you see. Because his hair is longer, it's easier to work with than Marcus', so luckily, they're working pretty fast. ]
If no one asks you for a dance after this, Lord Makoto, I will be shocked and offended on your behalf.

[ Drink finished, his arms are now crossed. And his voice is flat like he expects them both to turn him down. ]
What, you mean neither of you are gonna force me to dance too?

[Never Have I Ever is good for many things...!
The hairpins are perhaps the biggest menace of all... without particular handling, they would poke and pull worse than flowers and hands do! But luckily both of those working here are veterans, so Makoto only becomes a little bit of a pincushion.
There's a pause when the question is posed, though, and then Jack chuckles suddenly and taps fingers against the crown of their target's head.]
Why, I never. Shall we see if we can fit on your dance card in your new form?

My apologies, but I'm saving my last dance for, Lord Jack.
[ Hang in there, Makoto. A couple more minutes, a few more tugs and pokes and jabs, and they're done! Isn't he just so pretty~ ]
But the others would be churlish to refuse you. Utterly captivating! Oh - whyever is your drink empty? Shouldn't you take a sip now?
[ Thank you for joining the braid club! Next time they'll dye his hair blond - ]
