CHAPTER 6

The dead now outnumber the living.

There's only one area that stayed a mystery until now. A new path revealed itself, leading to another town, surrounded by sturdy stone walls. Even from some distance away you can see the tower, rising high towards the skies. The path that leads to the city turns into gold before long, and the sky itself seems to take a beautiful tone, like it's painted with watercolors. It's such a peaceful-looking town, welcoming you with open gates. It must be nice to have another urban setting, after living in the same place for so long.

But no matter what you find it doesn't change the situation you're in. Now that your numbers are dwindling that's impossible to forget.

The story is nearing its end. There still are a handful of pages left. What will they bring?

[ I forgot there was a center rod but thanks Tenn for lifting that off. Makoto fiddles some more, looking through the cash door and feeling for the mechanism when he fusses with the dial.

Give him a minute to find the couplers that need to be loosened, carefully removing the lower crossbar. After some trial and error, he gently pulls on the neon tubes that run vertically through the head of the machine (someone is getting handed those too). Next come the rod and upper crossbar.

More fiddling, sorry guys, he's having to figure this out as he goes while trying not to break it and still remember how this goes back together later. After shifting it this way and that, he's able to break the seal and off comes the whole piece that has the dial on it.

All that's left is the base with the tree still inside the cylinder. Time to take a step back because maybe with the head and the globe off... well, time to see if they can unweight the base. Who knows what they're using for that -- sand?? ]

Huaisang's just going to ... continue to focus on the small stuff but that looks like a production over there!! ]

[ The dismantling goes smoothly, or as smoothly as it can be considering neither Makoto nor NHS are gumball machine technicians. There's thankfully no spiders inside or any other creepy crawlies, so it looks like part of the mission is a success.

At least in this area... ]

[ Well that's great if something bad happens they'll just all try not to look guilty for the whole week its fine.

Anyway his work is done. So he will get up and probably grab the small things before leaving not knowing this chaos is happening. ]
