The dead now outnumber the living.

There's only one area that stayed a mystery until now. A new path revealed itself, leading to another town, surrounded by sturdy stone walls. Even from some distance away you can see the tower, rising high towards the skies. The path that leads to the city turns into gold before long, and the sky itself seems to take a beautiful tone, like it's painted with watercolors. It's such a peaceful-looking town, welcoming you with open gates. It must be nice to have another urban setting, after living in the same place for so long.

But no matter what you find it doesn't change the situation you're in. Now that your numbers are dwindling that's impossible to forget.

The story is nearing its end. There still are a handful of pages left. What will they bring?

[ While the pieces are being escorted out of the gelato bar, Tenn...uh. Well, he sure does pull out two candied cherry bombs. Maybe two was kind of overkill, but listen, he and Edelgard managed to make them together, so he just has an extra one, I guess!!

Anyway, when it looks like the pieces are generally out of the way, Tenn will turn to whoever's decided to stay behind to help with the explosion. ]

...I've never set off a bomb before.

[ And he's, uh, kind of scared to do so. ]

Well, there's a first time for everything. Don't worry, it's not enough to kill you, and you won't get injured unless you're extremely careless, so we're fine.

[It is enough to kill him, she just knows the accidents that arise from these generally come from people panicking, so she'll lie.

She turns to look at him.]

[ He'll take her words at face value, at least, and he gives her a little grin. ]

Kind of. It's easier though, with other people helping out.

[ He lets out a quiet breath. ]

I already did this once to the fountain, remember. This isn't mentioned in the recipe book, but they actually produce more shrapnel than you might expect, as well as a lot of burning hot sugary juice, with a blast range of about 15 meters that you'll want to keep out of. And we'll want to move everything a bit further from the building if you want to avoid damaging it.

We used the catapult to throw the bomb that time since the workshop was close by, and that is still an option if needed.

[ But it would suck to drag it out here, so. A glance to Edelgard... ]

You're confident in your pitch from that distance?

[She chuckles.]

I can catch a moving target dead-on with a throwing axe from two hundred feet away. I can make it.

[Casually boasting about killing people. Just child soldier catholic school things.]

Do you both want to stand back further, just in case?

...Well, it sounds like there's no problem there, then.

[ Yikes. ]

Yes, we should stay back out of its potential range. There's no need for us to be any closer in this situation.

[She nods.]

On three then.

[She assumes a throwing stance, raising one hand with three fingers raised. She lowers the first, the second, and the third, and when both Tenn and Phil have cleared out, she'll throw the cherry bomb like a professional baseball player.

Except with candied grenades. She shields her eyes for the explosion, but ideally, kaboom.]

[ Tenn is getting the fuck out of there, because like hell is he dying via cherry bomb today!! That was a pretty sweet through though, Edelgard, good job! ]

[ The throw is a success as Edelgard is a star baseball player! Nothing else happens, so this part of the mission is a success. An actual success that doesn't make another fairy waterslide. ]
