CHAPTER 6
CHAPTER 6
The dead now outnumber the living.
There's only one area that stayed a mystery until now. A new path revealed itself, leading to another town, surrounded by sturdy stone walls. Even from some distance away you can see the tower, rising high towards the skies. The path that leads to the city turns into gold before long, and the sky itself seems to take a beautiful tone, like it's painted with watercolors. It's such a peaceful-looking town, welcoming you with open gates. It must be nice to have another urban setting, after living in the same place for so long.
But no matter what you find it doesn't change the situation you're in. Now that your numbers are dwindling that's impossible to forget.
The story is nearing its end. There still are a handful of pages left. What will they bring?
[[Welcome to Week 6! Feel free to make top levels at your discretion, and remember to note it in your header if you plan on investigating any locations. However, please try to keep investigations to Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday! You can also privately contact Hamelin at your leisure.
In addition, a reminder that any Murder Proposals for this week are due by Tuesday 3:00 PM EST/12:00 PM PST; this is the last week for murder proposals as week 7 is endgame. Also, please note the shop's discount on magnifying glasses! ]]

I'm not sure how you just made your world seem infinitely worse by explaining daily life than you did by explaining the malevolent spirits.

And have been made very safe
You are probably safer in a plane than riding a horse
no subject
[They also just use the power of one entire horse to work. Not?? Explosions??]

In fairness, I can't imagine people from other worlds taking well to magecraft, so it may just have to be irreconcilable.

no subject
You're still hoping for that, then.
no subject
My feelings about that haven't changed
[Alexei is still his friend, even if he doesn't think he deserves it.]

The kind of way that C-ta can't go back to his home, or for some other reason

...Something I'm not sure I want to stop.
no subject
[could you not be a tales antag for like five minutes]

Either way, at the very best I'll be apprehended as a criminal before I can see it through, and executed for treason against the Empire. At worst...I'm not certain.
no subject
[...Hmmmm.]
Normally I'd say you could come home with me but I'm pretty sure C-ta would get jealous
So you probably should ask somebody else

talking around suicidality
Or...?
[...Because it's Alexei, he has to ask.]
no subject
I knew it was like that when I started; I knew what the outcome would be. It's all right.
no subject
If you do survive, for better or for worse
I would like to see you again
no subject
I'll see.
no subject
[Oh - right, there was something he wanted to give Alexei.
Suga pulls a bracelet out of his pocket. Its beads are very near the shade of burgundy of Alexei's uniform.]
This is for you
no subject
You don't have to give me anything.
no subject
If you don't take it it's going to sit in my room unworn
no subject
[He will, at least, take it though.]
