INVESTIGATION IV

Unlike last week, the seventh hour of the night passes without any incident. Maybe it's enough to prevent as many terrible sleeping positions as last week, but an hour later your good luck is upended.

You rise with the sun again, although this time it's a good measure ahead of you. Today is another Friday, and you know what those bring by now.

The time is 6:00 AM.

[ So, just for hypothetical generalization purposes, it's more of like someone had a rough time cutting through him, rather than getting caught in a boat motor blade or something, right?

From there, she'll probably look more to the rest of him. Any signs of livor or rigor mortis from what's intact? Any discoloration to the skin or anything that might place how long he's been in the water for? ]

[Certainly doesn't look like it got caught in motor blades. As for the other thing...hm, if she checks a bone she'll find it was very clearly sawed through. Perhaps that helps answer why it's ragged like this?

So! There's rigor mortis here! It's not as rigid as it would be because, well, it was in water, but there indeed is enough rigot mortis to be noticed.

Norton's skin looks discolored, poor guy. It's definitely the signs of having been in water for quite a while, but...there also are bruises. Quite noticeable bruises, contrasting against the paleness. Hard to miss them!]

Is the bruising the markings that're indicated on his forearms? Or are they placed elsewhere? Is there a pattern or shape to them? ]

[ Are they more prominent on the outside or inside of his arms? Or are they kind of all over? Anything going on underneath his fingernails?

From there, she'll look at his face. What's... going on with them scratches. Is he still wearing his hat? ]

[Nothing in his fingernails! As for the bruises, they're more on the outside of the arms!

These cuts seem to be pretty shallow! And uneven. Doesn't seem like there's any order to them in the slightest, and they're pointing in all sorts of directions.

The hat is gone. It probably has gotten lost in the depths of lake, alas. That hat with the candle on it was such a striking feature, rest in peace, hat.]

Anything else going on with his face or head? Any wayward gashes that his hair might be concealing? ]
