Unlike last week, the seventh hour of the night passes without any incident. Maybe it's enough to prevent as many terrible sleeping positions as last week, but an hour later your good luck is upended.

You rise with the sun again, although this time it's a good measure ahead of you. Today is another Friday, and you know what those bring by now.

The time is 6:00 AM.

The corner reveals...a small corner of somewhat white fabric that is stained with blood. ]

Just... carefully (and with some difficulty because look at him) turns the trash can onto its side on the floor so he can pull that paper corner to try to drag this cursed mystery item out without dropping whatever is in there... ]

[ It's a pretty easy job actually, as the wrapped mystery item isn't all that heavy actually. And now that he's got it out of the trashcan it's pretty neatly wrapped too? It's just about short of a perfect square.

There is nothing else in the trashcan, by the grace of slowy. ]

[ Oh. That could have been worse.

...Is it, like, notably nice wrapping? Enough to potentially be a clue itself so maybe he shouldn't open it right now? ]

[ It's decently wrapped? We're not talking about like, the level you get at fancy card stores likes Papyrus here but it's not as if there's anything poking out the edges (beside the piece of bloodied fabric from the unwrapped corner). ]

[ I mean, YOU SAW HOW HALF OF US MADE BEDS LAST WEEK...

but ehhhhhh okay, probably wouldn't narrow it down that much, so whatever, we'll unwrap the rest of it. ]

[ I can't believe we almost had a gift wrapping check at trial?

Unwrapping it yields: strips of white bloody fabric. It's pretty thoroughly saturated with blood, so yikes. ]

Oof. What kind of fabric does it look like? Is it a recognizable fiber type (like linen vs. suiting or something)? Clothing fabric, not upholstery? ]

[ It is linen and clothing fabric! ]

[ And what kind of paper was the wrapping? Was that identifiable as having come from anywhere?

Also roughly how much how fabric is this overall/how big was the package? ]

[ It's just generic drafting paper you could find in the workshop! Thank god none of the birdapault blueprints were used.

The amount of fabric is... a fair amount though it is cut up in strips. The size of the package is roughly about folded newspaper sized. ]

[ Is there any indication whether it might have been used to clean vs. worn by a person who was bleeding a lot? Any smudging at whatever edges might be visible? Guessing it's probably more in the Bleeding Person realm if it's soaked through that much? ]

[ It's hard to tell considering its cut up in strips and not at all orderly (sorry if that wasn't clear), ie: it doesn't look like one strip matches up to the strip next to it going by the blood and fabric itself. ]

[ YEAH I just meant like, where the red meets the white on any given strip, whether that looks more like a natural soak/dip dye or a smudge.

i'm sorry this is what happens when you give a cosplayer a fabric clue ]

The edges from what Phil can see look largely like smudges. ]

Okay, just... going to leave that by the trash then... debates kicking it back into the can but then he'd just have blood on his shoe whenever they inevitably do a check!! So he apologizes, janitor fairy.
