FOURTH INVESTIGATION

INVESTIGATION IV

Unlike last week, the seventh hour of the night passes without any incident. Maybe it's enough to prevent as many terrible sleeping positions as last week, but an hour later your good luck is upended.

You rise with the sun again, although this time it's a good measure ahead of you. Today is another Friday, and you know what those bring by now.

The time is 6:00 AM.

[The rest of the hallway is definitely free of the lounge chairs normally! Wouldn't be safe if everyone needed to evacuate for some reason or other, after all.]

[Great, now he's assuming that Adora stacked chairs here to keep them safe and he feels Even More Guilty. He'll push past that for now.

Between here and the lounge, is there any blood? Trails, puddles, etc.]

[There is not, actually! The hallways seem to be clear of any real mess here, besides the chair pile up. Seems like most of the mess was where he came from originally--that is, the lounge.]

[........He really doesn't want to go back to the lounge, though......

But he owes this to Adora, at least. So heading back there and trying very hard not to look at the body: is there anything else on the floor? Murder weapons, signed confessions, etc.?]

[That certainly would make the trial easier but unfortunately Suga's luck doesn't extend that far beyond finding corpses, apparently.

With that said, there's definitely quite a few details on the floor, particularly since there's a fair bit of mess in here. For one thing, there's a couple of those potted plants and lamps that have been toppled around the room which leaves some soil on the floor, but there's also an overturned chair by the body too. Lastly, the coffee table has been flipped over and a plate and some cookies lie abandoned nearby.]

[Are those the same cookies that were at the sleepover, or different cookies?]

[These cookies give off the faint smell of almonds, so they're probably different!]

[He's smart enough not to eat any of these, at least.

Let's see, checking out the soil, any footprints or the like?]

[Nope, the soil is more or less undisturbed. It hasn't even really been spread out around the room or anything? It's just basically spilling out the tipped pots, really.]

[Huh, okay. One more question about the cookies because I forgot - do any of them have bites taken out of them? Not that Suga thinks this is a poisoning case, because... gestures...]

[None of the ones on the ground have bites taken out of them, nope.]

[Alright. Anything underneath that overturned chair or the coffee table? Thank god he healed up his injuries or this would be really painful to check.]

[Nothing underneath the overturned chair, but as Suga gets closer to check under the flipped coffee table, he might first get a faint whiff of stomach bile before seeing that there's a spot on the floor near the table that looks really clean.]

[Ewww. He'd judge whoever made these cookies but he is the last person to judge for that tbh.

...weird that they cleaned up the bile and not all the, you know, blood. Is there any evidence of anyone having at least tried to clean up the blood?]

[Nope. Seems like the blood pool (and the rest of the blood on Adora) was left untouched. Rude???]

Well, he's out of ideas, unless there's anything else notable around the floor/table area he's going to see if the profiles were left untouched.]

[Nothing else seems to be notable around the floor and table area! Also one more detail I forgot to mention oops but while he was moving the overturned chair, he may have noticed that one of the wooden armrests had a crack in it, but nothing else.

Anyways, the profiles are untouched too!]

[Okay, cool, good to know. He's just gonna hang around in case birb needs him to move a body around... as much as he would really prefer not to have to do that.]

[Okay wait one more detail shhh. I'm good at this, I swear.

While he was looking around at the profiles, he probably would've noticed that there's also a couch by the wall with what looks to be a gash in a cushion, leaving some of the soft stuffing spilling out just a bit. More to the point though, there's a little bit of blood where the gash was although not much more than traces.]

Did anybody stuff something inside of this cushion? Other than... stuffing.]

[Nothing hidden in there, nope! Just a sad gash in a once comfortable cushion, alas.]
