The story continues onward. In the span of another week, another four people perished. Your numbers have been diminishing more and more, making the world a little more empty.

At least the rumored giant peach that had been seen for a while is finally unveiled, in the middle of a lake surrounded by smaller yet still ridiculously large fruits. The landscape is idyllic and nonsensical, in par with the drunken escapades of last week. Given the everything that was this past weekend, why not sail on one of the magically operated rowboats and explore what this new area has to offer? You could even take a bite out one of the abundant normal-sized peaches floating around, if you're so inclined.

There's another note that I found yesterday, actually, separate from the rest of these — it was at one of the festival stalls. This one was much longer than the others have been, so I'll just go through the contents out loud, but I do have the original here with me and can pass it around as requested.

They acknowledge that our suspicion of these notes is understandable given the lack of context, but assure that while some here are against us, others are trying their best to help us even though they can't reveal themselves.

The points they were able to give us are, quote:

1 - "There's a reason this land is built the way it is, built specifically for you."

2 - "The dead are around, but the fairies are too."

3 - "Remember 'things aren't always as they appear'."

4 - "When you get the chance, whatever decision you make in the end, make sure it's your own."

And it ends with:
"The story isn't over until the last ink has been dried. And to the person who knows who this is, I'm sorry."

[ Hopefully that person knows who they are... ]

As an additional note, the handwriting appears to be similar to the note Gin found in the floorboards of one of the houses several weeks ago.

Which note was the one Captain Gin found? I can't recall...

It said something about helping to level the playing field, and that even though some might fall to temptation, it was still possible to save them. "Wishes don't always have to be paid for in blood" — something like that.

I remember now, thank you. Does this mean the note from before was for one of us?

I suppose it may have been... Come to think of it, both that one and this one were much more hidden compared to the rest, which seemed to be displayed specifically to catch our attention.

[ So these two notes might be hidden for someone who knows to look. ]

Do you think it's the same person Lord Moriarty was talking about last meeting?

The presumably living one with only partial information? ...I don't think so, but it's possible. Though I also don't know if there's necessarily a reason to assume only one of the writers is alive.

True... Hmm... So far the notes have been hidden in areas the fairies do not maintain, correct? What if we leave a reply in one of those areas?

...It probably wouldn't hurt to try, though since we can't actually stay there to watch until it's picked up by the correct party, I don't know how much we could trust whatever results we ended up with. Someone could pick it up and read it and put it back, and then reference it in a false letter while pretending to be one of the dead.
