THIRD INVESTIGATION
INVESTIGATION III
Some days are long and some days are short. If this wasn't the third week of your stay, perhaps you might think that exhaustion had crept in from Wednesday's nights activities. But you know better than that by now.
Consciousness comes to you groggily, perhaps uncomfortably depending where you were when sleep suddenly took hold of you. While the world stands on the verge of awakening as the horizon blazes with a fiery glow, the sky remains a navy blue where you are.
The time is 5:00 AM. You could return to your slumber, but do you really think third time's the charm?

he'll pop over to junko's thread about wuxian's face later if she needs help!
in the meantime let's talk about clothes. no robes, but anything of note regarding the clothes? any damage etc? ]
no subject
Looks like Junko has the face information covered!
Indeed, no robes. The clothes that are right underneath seem to be largely intact. Of course there's a hole that fits the location of the stab wound, though. Other than that, one of his arms isnβt in its sleeve leaving his right shoulder and most of his chest exposed.]

actually ok in that vein - does it look like the clothes were tampered with or removed before or after death? Or is that inconclusive......
speaking on inconclusiveness - do the cash on his forehead and the stab wound look like they could come from the same murder weapon? gonna assume it's from a knife at this point but would it be easy to tell or inconclusive once again? ]

Guessed right: inconclusive. It's hard to know who did what on this regard, unfortunately.
Alright, so, the cut on his forehead and the stab wound look nothing alike. The cut is just like an inch long, and it looks very ragged and uneven. The body has been moved already, but if Moriarty looks to where the head used to be at, there seems to be the edge of an object located roughly in the right area for such a cut to happen]

and now that tl:dr; edelgard has found a KNIFE, would the stiletto dagger match any of the stab wounds or cuts on wwx's body???
ALSO pasting this from chat: once edelgard has passed him the knife to do his experimentation, he'll probably compare the width/thickness of the blade first (to see if it's a match with how long/wide the wound is) and he'll stab like. next to the stab wound on wwx's stomach to see how the wounds compare next to each other! the one on his forehead would purely be a visual test. ]

Looks pretty close to what Moriarty sees. It may not be exactly as deep as the original one -- depths is hard to gauge, after all -- but everything else definitely does look pretty close to the stab wound found on the body.
Success!
The forehead cut, though, that's definitely not a match in any shape or form. It still looks like it probably came from the edge of something, possibly one of the objects on the shelf]

i'm only half joking.
anyway! not to beat the dead horse but as one sherlock holmes says - when you eliminate all possibilities only the truth remains, so! he's going to pilfer the item that made the cut on wwx's forehead. what is it exactly bc it never occured to me until this moment to actually ask. ]

and once everyone is done he's going to pick up wwx's body and whisk it away to go prepare it for burial or something with jack. fun times. ]
