Some days are long and some days are short. If this wasn't the third week of your stay, perhaps you might think that exhaustion had crept in from Wednesday's nights activities. But you know better than that by now.

Consciousness comes to you groggily, perhaps uncomfortably depending where you were when sleep suddenly took hold of you. While the world stands on the verge of awakening as the horizon blazes with a fiery glow, the sky remains a navy blue where you are.

The time is 5:00 AM. You could return to your slumber, but do you really think third time's the charm?

[Just splattered around, or an actual trail? If it's a trail, he's going to follow it to see where it leads; otherwise, he's going to check it out to see if there are any footprints or anything odd in there.

Is it splattered in any particular pattern?]

[IT's so hard to say, Marcus. There's no pattern, and there's no trail -- or if there is a trail it's so sparse it's impossible for Marcus to tell with certainty.

That said, any blood he finds is on the middle of the road, with one exception: a bit of blood going closer to the general store]

[Checking out that bit of blood going closer to the store, then... what's he going to find? Just droplets, a smudge like something was dragged...?]

[Droplets! Just a couple of them, without signs of having been tampered with]

[Hmm. Are they larger in number closer to the store or further away from it.]

[faentasy]

[Roughly the same number, in fact!]

[mirrite]

[And do they stop abruptly? And if so, where-- about how far outside of the store?]

[faentasy]

[Hmmmm...perhaps it's not right to say they stop abruptly. It's located in the direction of the general store, and the stray droplets found on the street don't really have the same distance between each other, but the progression seems quite natural all the way to the last one.

To try to put it in simpler words: doesn't seem like they got stopped abruptly, really. These last drops are a few feet away from the entrance of the store]

[Yeah, that makes logical sense. He's done here, then.

... well. One last thing. Do they actually go up into the store, or stop just outside of it?]

[faentasy]

[They stop outside it! Far enough to not sully the store further because the poor fairy shopkeeper deserves a break, but also close enough to leave no room for doubt it was coming in this direction!]
