The number of murders increased in the span of one week, and so did the number of deceased people. Four people dying in the span of a week is a noticeable change, reducing your numbers to 25. Though the bakery has been cleaned up and fixed back to the state it was in originally, now that the specter of murder has fully settled in, perhaps some of those currently alive wonder how many will be around at the end of the new week.

It's fortunate now everybody can ponder it with a colorful change of scenery. Despite the situation everyone has been in, the world around them were plausible, even perhaps mundane to some extent. The scenery that unfolds beyond a canyon to the east drives home a point:

You're in a world far perhaps, beyond your wildest imagination.

It's a land of sweets. Wherever you look you can see something that's both full of sugar and joy. You could reach anywhere and you could get something that will make your mood soar and your day get better! After all, there's something for everyone! What wonders will you find if you search hard enough? This is a paradise for a sweet tooth! The sight, though, may make one question pop up:

Will this candy land be dirtied with blood? Only time will tell.

[In an amazing display of responsibility (given that he is definitely drunk off like two glasses), Suga waits until Alexei is not setting anything on fire to drunkenly hug him.

Fortunately, he doesn't handle it like a completely deranged person, he refrains from trying to shove Suga off or anything; instead, he just sort of...freezes? He freezes entirely, kind of like a cat that's been grabbed by the scruff of the neck - he's incredibly tense about it, but he's also resigned himself to the fact that this is going to happen and he's just going to allow it for a moment before trying to at least mildly get over himself and patting Suga gently in the most awkward "there, there" motion he can humanly manage.

...People don't hug him? People literally never hug him. He does not remember the last time anyone hugged him. What the hell does he do with this.]

[Alexei's life is extremely hard.

Thankfully Suga doesn't cling for too long, mostly because it's hard to hug and write at the same time.]

People do tend to be, yes. I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying yourself.

That would be nice, wouldn't it. I'm sure a lot of those here would like that.

I doubt that people would let that happen. They seem rather partial to you here.

I don't know if that's something you can decide for yourself, ultimately - whether it's deserved or not. I'm fairly sure that's everyone else's choice to make, and they chose to like you because you're the sort of person that they want to like.

[He glances over at that, briefly.]

People are arbitrary, about those they'll chose to like and those they won't. But it's good that you've found friends here, however it may have happened.

I'm not really one for making friends; I usually prefer not to.

...I've always liked having things to do. Not having to rely on the company of other people to accomplish things makes it easier, somewhat. Those that I do rely on are in a professional capacity, I wouldn't really say we're friends.

I've...somewhat gotten to know the two guild members from my world since being here. I'm not friends with them either, but they're acceptable to talk to.

Oh, certainly not. While we are working toward treaties with the guilds, I don't foresee that coming to pass, at least not without a fair amount of strife first... As it is, I'm not permitted to simply spend time with them. It's considered inappropriate for my station, and some of those in power would eat me alive for it.
