Good Morning. Did you sleep well? It certainly feels like you have, perhaps too well, even for those who don't normally sleep. Maybe that's to be expected in this fairy tale, maybe it was only a matter of time.

[It's such a nice house. So nice many would hope it'd be obvious there'd be signs someone tried to climb up, but there doesn't seem to be anything on the walls...

...hm?

There's an interesting structure attached to a side of the mansion, from the very bottom to the rooftop, formed with horizontal bars and a framework of wood. Some vines and plants snake all over it.

This, Rika, is called a trellis.]

[Oho...Rika takes a look at the trellis with interest, and puts her foot on the closest bar to see how much weight it can handle. While she does so, she looks to Edelgard and Makoto.]

...can one of you stand on this as well? Samidare and I were close to the same weight, so it might be a good idea to see how much these can support.

[Her investigations led her this way too.]

That would help. We'll also have to consider people's strength later, if this is the route they took to bring the body up here.

However, if it doesn't seem to be in danger of breaking apart, she'll go ahead and put her full weight on the first rung.]

[It's time to put her full weight on the first rung of a trellis!

There's some creak of plastic and wood, but overall it seems the trellis can take Yor's weight. Alright!]

[Hmm...

She'll begin climbing, movements cautious, to see if it will hold in place even when she tries going higher. If it starts to seem like it won't, however, she'll probably back down again to restore balance.]

[It's time to climb. Careful with the plants, these plants have done nothing wrong.

Perhaps Yor will be glad to find out the trellis holds her weight all the way to the top. Although there indeed is more creaking, there seems to be no danger of anything breaking.

Hm!

But along the way, she'll find places where it seems the plastic and wood are bent!]

[.....Ppppausing to squint at those. And then calling down:]

This trellis has been bent up!

[ After spotting something odd about the trellis, he'll keep his eyes upward. ]

Hey! Excuse me, can you check -- [pretend these are directions to wherever it is.]
[ Makoto calls from the ground. He thinks he got that right, but he'll also be pointing to wherever that strange spot was since she's already up there. He'd rather avoid heights, thanks. ]


ooc: look, idk if the bent part is what he noticed from the ground but neither does he.

[Checking to see if Makoto pointed her to anything new or if it is indeed the bends in the trellis!]

[It seems to be a little bit of both.

There indeed are some bent parts among what Makoto points out, but Makoto will also have seen the junctures where the trellis goes into the wall of the mansion. It seems this trellis is removable.

Doesn't seem like it has been removed -- or placed -- recently, but at least Makoto and now Yor will be aware this trellis and any other like it can be detached from the wall]

[Hmm...

She'll go ahead and make her way down again, but as she goes, is there any way to tell if her own weight was enough to cause similar bends in the trellis?]

[Perhaps the creaking sound is an indication of the state of the trellis in the face of Yor climbing up and down it -- it didn't sound like this when, say, Rika went up to the roof -- but no matter how hard she tries it seems her weight isn't enough to make it bend like that]

[Feel free to put your foot on it, Rika, certainly. Even when she applies her full weight on it, she'll find it can handle her weight. Good!]
