Good Morning. Did you sleep well? It certainly feels like you have, perhaps too well, even for those who don't normally sleep. Maybe that's to be expected in this fairy tale, maybe it was only a matter of time.

She herself seems pale and grim as they make their way to the mansion for much the same reason.]

[Welcome to the outside of the mansion, Suga, Yor.

From a glance both of them can see there's nothing obviously out of place. No bloodshed, no signs of struggle, from what you both can see. Looks like you both will have to look harder!]

[After his first look around doesn't turn up anything, Suga next investigates any bushes outside, or other similarly-sized things that might be hiding small items in them.]

[Time to dive into the bushes! Or at least try to look through these branches and leaves.

Looks like nothing has been hidden over here...the bushes and other similar things around this mansion seems to hold no surprises of the sort. Although looking into this greenery is tough, Suga can be confident he didn't miss anything.

Around the mansion, right against the walls, the grass turns into a somewhat sizable portion of bare soil, meant for gardening and the such. The bushes are more scarce in this area, but Suga will find discovering anything with a cursory look there is difficult due to the shade of the mansion]

[He'll look at those shady bushes in more depth just to make sure he didn't miss anything, getting his hands scratched up by bushes if necessary. No leaf unturned, etc. etc.]

Still no objects...but during his search, making sure to not miss anything, he'll stumble upon Edelgard, who seems to have the same idea. Nice.

Good news! You both have managed to find something. To be more precise, it seems like a group of three prints together -- two to the back and closer to the wall, one to the front and approximately one meter away from the other ones.

Suga, which one will you check?]

[Well, first he wants to compare them: does the one separate match one of the others in size and shape? Two people enter, one person dies painfully and the other person leaves, that sort of thing.]

[Let's see what the front print has to tell.

Right away Suga will see this is definitely not a footprint. Instead, once he leans and takes a good look, he'll find five thin oval-shaped indentations. Most of them even have a bit of an amorphous shape at the bottom, connecting them together.

It probably won't take him long to realize this is a partial handprint]

Okay, next question: where do the handprints begin and end?]

[Looks like the handprint ends right where it started.

Indeed, there's only one single handprint, positioned not too far ahead from the pair of footprints Edelgard checked]

[Huh. Suga compares the handprint's size to his own hand - how big is it? Suga's hands are about average size for a guy.]

[Her first thought upon encountering Suga is that he's been crying, indicating that this really hit him hard. Her second, more callous thought is that they don't have time for this.

She nods to him after they make their discovery. Three prints...]

I'll take the ones at the back. You take the one at the front.

[She looks over the prints, trying to figure out the size, and style of the shoe, and whether or not they match.]

[After her own investigation is finished, she goes and rejoins him.]

What did you find? It seems like an action in particular left these footprints, and it wasn't necessarily walking or else there'd be more of a trail... perhaps jumping?

Hm.

[A handprint and two footprints... landing on the balls of their feet.]

...This seems like the indentations of someone making a landing from either the wall or the roof. That's my theory anyway.

[Let's see what the prints to the back can tell you.

As mentioned before, these aren't too far away from the wall of the mansion -- around three feet away at most.

The good news is that she probably will recognize the shape as footprints! The bad news is that they're partial. In fact, it's only the frontal half of whatever stepped here. There's no heels, just the frontal half.]

[Someone walking on the balls of their feet to avoid leaving footprints or have these been tampered with in some way... but if they were tampered with, surely they'd be more thorough with covering them. Hmm.

She'll do her best to try and find something indicating a trail of some kind for her to follow.]

[It seems this is where the luck regarding these prints stop. These ones are the only ones she can find. There's an indentation a little ahead of the handprint Suga found, but nobody could say with certainty if it's a footprint or not.

All in all, looks like this pair here are the only footprints she'll find in the area]

[She'll make an estimate to see whether or not leaping off the roof or wall would be physically possible for the average person, and if not, with the right acrobatic training.

She's connecting the dots.]

[Yor will continue looking around, searching the area as she makes her way down the path through the hedges.]

[It's such a beautiful path. Cobblestone, no grass growing between the stone tiles, no blood...no evidence.

But at least Yor can take solace in the beauty of this path through the hedges. On it she can even go towards the side of the house and to the back. If only this could be a leisurely walk...]

[If there's nothing worth noting around or in the hedges, she'll go ahead and move on to head down the side of the house, rustling bushes and plant life here and there as she peers around for anything off.]

[All the plant life around this mansion has been bothered so much. Poor plants.

It seems no secrets are hidden among the plants. While Yor searches, she comes across Rika, who has found a trellis. Neat.

From where Yor is standing she can see towards other mansions. They're all so similar to this one, almost like they're copies to this one. The walls, the paint, the windows...

...even the trellis. Looks like all mansions around here have the same kind of trellis this one does. Color, material, height...a standard shared by all the mansions in this area. Neat!]
