EPILOGUE
Epilogue
After all is said and done, in the wake of the void and sprinting through one final door.
You come out into light. Sunlight actually, a backyard in what appears to be a typical suburban town, if you're familiar with those. The sun shines cheerfully overheard, blissfully unaware of what everyone has went through. And this is everyone, as faces you haven't seen in weeks tumble out in one pile from a basement door.
Happy Saturday, everyone.
There's plenty of reunions and catching up to do, but you've utterly left Aira Niluc behind you after seven long weeks. And through the window of the house which looks like it has seen a better seen better days is one wall mural that reads "And they all lived Happily Ever After".
[[ Happy Golden End everyone, you've earned it! There's still the matter of sorting out where to next, but everyone is whole and alive and without button eyes. Using the knowledge from the object Phil had and the beldam's magic, they can also now world hop only one side effect...the portal that opens to everyone else's worlds here? Is made entirely of pixie dust. Everyone's powers will also restore fully over the course of the next few hours. ]]

[Like yes we have smoke bombs and crap but we absolutely need something you can throw on the ground that will both blind and deafen the shit out of everyone in the immediate vicinity of it. This is exactly what the Empire needs to have its hands on, this is the lesson Alexei took from Phil dropping one indoors.]

[Smoke bombs are great, but that would be an excellent addition to his armory!!]
Perhaps if you bribe me I'll pass a few on~
[Maybe even with the synthesis recipe!! Make your own konpeito back home, it'll be fine.]
no subject
Don't press your luck with the bribe.

[he is a simple man who wants to be rich, is that too much to ask??]
no subject
[yes, yes it is.]
no subject
How bold! You really think I'm that fond of you?
no subject
no subject
Fair enough! It would cause quite a few problems... Hmm, I'll keep it in mind~

[the poor horses are going to be terrified.]
I doubt I have use for the magic beyond this point, at any rate. It was decent when we had nothing else, I suppose.
You're welcome to it, should you be interested.
no subject
I'll gladly take it off your hands if you have no use for it.
[More cool stuff to bring home to the twins!!]
It is quite fascinating, but your artes work far better. Admittedly, I don't think any of us even thought about the possibility of regaining our abilities!
[We were so prepared for war.]

[you're already unfair so you can probably just spam mystic artes too!!!]
It is nice to have them back, though. I certainly did miss my artes!
no subject
[Of course he can? Probably for the best that he didn't, it gives him a horrid migraine afterwards, but he can spam it if he really wants to.]
I suppose I'm glad Tenn got to see them, at least. He mentioned an interest in it.

[Though maybe that's understandable given the whole murdergame thing...]

[Like for god's sake, half the people in Terca Lumireis learn to fight just to leave the cities, and for a whole mess of them that's their whole way of saying hello.]
I suppose it must be peaceful, but I can't really see it being attainable. Or desirable, for that matter.
no subject
[Tenn at least seemed aware of that when he gave the offer, but it was nice of him just the same.]
Monsters are certainly annoying and I can see where a world without them would be quite wonderful for some people... but for those of us who do fight, it would really be difficult to adapt, I think.
no subject
[Just...saying...]
no subject
[It's mostly because of Gauche and Droite, but it helps that he's rich!!!]
I'm looking forward to returning.
no subject
[For all its issues, he truly does love Terca Lumireis.]
As many flaws as the Empire may have, I admit that I've missed it; I'll likely hate it again once the week is out, but I can handle that then.
I suppose being away from it this long did some good.

[Maybe not in a way anyone ever would have expected, but things have certainly changed.]
Of course, you know where to reach me should you ever have need of Leviathan's Claw~ I would say "or even just a break" but I doubt that's going to happen! Do let me know if you ever end up needing to visit Dahngrest, though!
no subject
It's going to be strange not talking to you as well, Yeager.
no subject
I only wanted to know for whenever you have to deal with the Don?
[please let him leave with SOME shred of dignity????]
no subject
[have you forgotten somehow that the don hates you?]
