EPILOGUE
Epilogue
After all is said and done, in the wake of the void and sprinting through one final door.
You come out into light. Sunlight actually, a backyard in what appears to be a typical suburban town, if you're familiar with those. The sun shines cheerfully overheard, blissfully unaware of what everyone has went through. And this is everyone, as faces you haven't seen in weeks tumble out in one pile from a basement door.
Happy Saturday, everyone.
There's plenty of reunions and catching up to do, but you've utterly left Aira Niluc behind you after seven long weeks. And through the window of the house which looks like it has seen a better seen better days is one wall mural that reads "And they all lived Happily Ever After".
[[ Happy Golden End everyone, you've earned it! There's still the matter of sorting out where to next, but everyone is whole and alive and without button eyes. Using the knowledge from the object Phil had and the beldam's magic, they can also now world hop only one side effect...the portal that opens to everyone else's worlds here? Is made entirely of pixie dust. Everyone's powers will also restore fully over the course of the next few hours. ]]

[It's good to have the possibility of a "later" out there.
When asked about life on the other side, he puts on a grimmace.]
Oh, they sure put me through the wringer, but I don't blame ya fer it. They stuck their necks out fer me and I let 'em down big time. I did what I could ta make up fer it.

[ The only thing he got to do with the bow and arrow was viciously stab at a hand that was holding Yeager's weapon. Which was great, honestly, but!!! ]
Well, I think you've done plenty of good here regardless. I wouldn't be who I am today without you -- and I mean that in a good way.
[ He gives Raven another soft smile. ]
I intend on keeping up with archery practice as much as I can, when I'm not busy working.

[Plus Tenn helped Yeager, so it was a win-win!
It's time for Raven's smile to soften as well, and also time for him to give Tenn one of his trademark winks.]
Comin' into this, I didn't think I had anythin' in me worth teachin'. I'm glad I was wrong about that. [He reaches up to ruffle Tenn's hair again, reminiscent of their last conversation in the dungeons.] I'm glad I was able ta help ya and see ya grow. I can tell ya did just fine even when I couldn't be there ta watch over ya.
[He definitely sounds like a proud dad. He's going to be so weirded out about it later.]
I'm glad ta hear it. I dunno how necessary of a skill archery is back home fer ya, but hey, maybe ya can win some competitions or somethin'.

[ Listen, Raven is like the one person he'll accept hair ruffles from without getting embarrassed, so have at it!! ]
I'll remember everything you've taught me -- not just the archery lessons, but life lessons, too. I'm grateful for your support, Raven-san.
[ Raven is one of the best adults in his life, it's true!! ]
I'll see if I can have my own bow and arrow set made, too. The one I have right now is rightfully Riku's, and I fully intend on teaching him what I know, too. We'll both make you proud.

L-Listen, even the guys back in Altosk would laugh their asses off if they heard I was actually a role model ta someone.
[But that doesn't mean he dislikes the idea. At first, maybe, but at the same time...it's nice to know that he actually has some value to at least one person. Multiple someones, even.]
Still, I look forward ta seein' how far ya go with my teachings. Maybe you an' Riku'll get good enough ta fight monsters in Terca Lumireis someday.
[...that's definitely his way of saying that he wants the boys to come visit!]
