Epilogue

After all is said and done, in the wake of the void and sprinting through one final door.

You come out into light. Sunlight actually, a backyard in what appears to be a typical suburban town, if you're familiar with those. The sun shines cheerfully overheard, blissfully unaware of what everyone has went through. And this is everyone, as faces you haven't seen in weeks tumble out in one pile from a basement door.

Happy Saturday, everyone.

There's plenty of reunions and catching up to do, but you've utterly left Aira Niluc behind you after seven long weeks. And through the window of the house which looks like it has seen a better seen better days is one wall mural that reads "And they all lived Happily Ever After".

[ He pauses for a moment, wondering what to say. But he does trust Tenn, so it doesn't take him long to continue. ]

I did plan to go back home to tie up loose ends, but...I wasn't sure what to do after? My story there is finished after all.

[ A lot sure has happened today though--he absolutely did not see himself getting a new body. But even with that, it's not as simple as showing up and pretending everything's back to normal. ]

What do you think about returning home with Riku and I, then?

[ It'll be, uh, weird to explain a giant bird appearing with them, but you know what!! Nageki deserves better. At least, Tenn think so. ]

I think you deserve another chance at life, if you want it. But it's up to you.

That'd be hard to explain? I still don't understand what cosplaying is even supposed to accomplish.

[ He has to hold back a smile here. The sentiment is much appreciated, but the last thing he wants to do is cause problems for others again. So he'll take a moment to think before continuing. ]

But it would be nice to hear you and Mister Nanase sing again. I wonder if visiting is possible, at least?

[ Tenn, on the other hand, won't hold back a little chuckle. Yeah...having to explain that Nageki is a ""cosplayer"" would be kind of suspicious after a while, wouldn't it. Probably for the best that he goes somewhere else. ]

I'd hope so. At the very least, we can return to this place when things are repaired. That'd be a good time for all of us to meet again, don't you think?

I'll look forward to it. I can't say I'm completely sure what I'll do, but...if I can still come here, that'll take a load of my mind.
