Epilogue

After all is said and done, in the wake of the void and sprinting through one final door.

You come out into light. Sunlight actually, a backyard in what appears to be a typical suburban town, if you're familiar with those. The sun shines cheerfully overheard, blissfully unaware of what everyone has went through. And this is everyone, as faces you haven't seen in weeks tumble out in one pile from a basement door.

Happy Saturday, everyone.

There's plenty of reunions and catching up to do, but you've utterly left Aira Niluc behind you after seven long weeks. And through the window of the house which looks like it has seen a better seen better days is one wall mural that reads "And they all lived Happily Ever After".

Looks like we all made it out in one piece, yeah. Which I admit was more than I'd been expecting when we first went in... we didn't exactly have the greatest odds there. But they were better odds than they could've been thanks to you guys.

I'm surprised we made it out, to be honest, there were moments where I was certain that we were going to be done for--

Thank you for taking care of the Beldam for us, though, I don't think we could have managed fighting two enemies back to back.

Our friendly shopkeeper fairy? [ you can HEAR the disdain in that tone, lmfao ] Turns out that her true form was an extremely large caterpillar fairy hybrid and that her plan was to take out the Beldam once she was done with us.

... We dropped her into the void, though, so I would hope that she doesn't return for a good, long while.

[ william you still suck at storytelling. ]

I knew there was something up with her, but that... is not exactly what I expected. All I was told was that she was 'entertaining' you guys while you waited to be eaten.

... not that that makes things any better, though.

[He does smile a little bit.]

But I'm glad to see that both sides here had the same idea about dropping our opponents into the void. Worked like a charm.

[mathodical]

Entertaining is... one way of putting it. We were definitely kept rather busy chasing what happened to be dead ends.

[ sort of. kind of. they almost gave ferry her master form and that would have been. hm. not great. ]

Times like these that we are aligned. I almost forgive you all for almost ignoring the messages that we tried so hard to push through. Did you get my letters?

Yeah, we did-- they helped a lot. Sorry for making you guys think we were ignoring them. It wasn't on purpose, I promise.

At least we figured it out in the end, though I guess that was partially my fault too.
